Nice, warm, lovely cabin. Close to restaurants and groceries. We saw deer in the yard everyday. Jacuzzi was clean. And kitchen had everything we needed!
The house is comfortable and the hot tub and gas fire pit were great! The location is noisy (proximity to the road), but when the windows are closed, it's quiet enough to sleep.
I had a great visit and a “Great Escape” experience. My son and I loved the cabin and its location! So convenient to App State and yet so peaceful and relaxing! Everything was perfect and as described. We had everything we needed. I would definitely return.
We absolutely loved our stay here. We decided to do a little Christmas getaway and this was perfect. Right in the middle of Sugar Mountain and Appaloacian Ski Resort which were out main activities. Roughly 5 minute drive to downtown Boone. Highly recommend!
Located very close to all things Boone but very private and well-screened. Very clean and the hot tub was so appreciated (as were the grill and fire pit) during this mild March week. Management was very responsive to questions. Thank you!
A great place to hang out on a rainy, chilly weekend to enjoy catching up with friends. The house had puzzles, games, books, movies - we couldn’t get bored! Cozy and fun.
Fantastic location! Hidden up a hill and in the woods. Privacy, but not too far from anything you could want. Well laid out and comfortable.
Book it you will not be disappointed.

Deer haven
We didn’t get to enjoy most of the amenities as we were too tired each day after doing disaster cleanup. The Beacon and Pedalin Pig Restaurants (near) were excellent!
The property was a great location. Not too far from restaurants and groceries but still private. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The only negative was the animal hair we found on furniture and floors. It could have been cleaner. Overall great time had by all.
Escape 194 was absolutely magical! We were so pleased with the cleanliness & location. It couldn’t of been more perfect. We raved about our stay so much we will definitely stay here again in the future when we visit Boone.
The Escape Cabin could not have been better. It provided a very comfortable "escape". All the detailed information you sent , pictures and description were spot on. From the moment I walked in I felt very welcomed and comfortable. When it was time to leave after five nights I truly wanted more time in the Escape Cabin.
Property was close to shopping as well as outdoor events. Hot tub was a great ending for each day and them a movie on tv. Great visit. The three deer in the front was pretty nice too. If you like hiking, we do but have aged out of severe, there is a nice hike just up the street.

The location was great! Close to everything! Back deck was nice and had deer walking around! Inside was laid out ok but we could use an bigger table. We do a lot of grilling out. We will stay there again!!
Two friends and 2 dogs stayed at The Escape Cabin for a July hiking weekend. Well-kept, cozy, modern cabin tucked into the woods but not that far from civilization (downtown Boone is just a brief car ride away) or a main road :). We enjoyed the variety of beautiful hikes within 15 - 20 minutes: waterfalls; Goshen River trail; lakes; mountain vistas. We would stay at this place again--each with our own bedroom and bath.
Cabin was a perfect size for our small family. Fully stocked with necessities and in close proximity to grocery store. Hot tub was nice as well (yes even in the summer) as the evenings were cool enough to enjoy. Had a daily visit from several deer and we enjoyed watching the squirrels snack from feeder in the front. Would stay here again!
Only 'issue', which isn't related to the cabin itself would be the condition of the main road to cabin. Several potholes to navigate.
First two days, short sleeve weather. We were able to enjoy the deck, fire-pit, and hot tub.The last two days were miserable, so we hung out inside. Beautiful place. Yes, the traffic on 105 can be heard from the deck, but once the trees leaf out I am sure it will be muted. Didn't stop us from having a great time. Love that the ASU Nature Preserve is so close. You can even walk to a baseball game. Everything with the house was as advertised, and we would definitely rent again.
The cabin is very cute and comfortable. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. Especially loved the hot tub and electric fireplaces in the main bedroom and living room, and the propane fire pit on the back deck. It is nicely decorated and the furniture and bed were very comfy. There were only 2 of us, but the cabin would fit 4 very comfortably. The location: It is only a 5-10 minute drive to pretty much anywhere in Boone, and there is a shopping center with a grocery store and good Mexican restaurant within walking distance. The cabin is surrounded by trees and is very private (can't see any other houses from it), and deer and hummingbirds visited us most mornings. But, there is a busy 4 lane road nearby and the traffic noise is clearly heard on the back deck. We couldn't hear it inside the cabin with the windows and doors closed. In the winter when the leaves have fallen, the road and lights from the shopping center will be visible from the back deck. If you don't mind the traffic noise outside, then stop scrolling and rent this place. If its your goal to feel "away from it all" when you're outside, the traffic noise may be an issue.
Everything was great. Only thing that needs fixing was that 2 of the jets don't work on the whirl pool tub in the bathroom. It's our second time here and we always have a great time.
