Lovely location
Great location, nice pool. Hotel room was small and comfortable but for the pillows but we managed with the bed cushions. We also had a little balcony which was excellent. Good breakfast and the coffee was very nice. The night watchman even went out of his way and made us coffee on our 5am departure. Only suggestion would be some tea bags, milk etc and a kettle in the room.

Amazing hotel but with basic flaws
Lovely hotel opulently decorated. The first receptionist was efficient but unhelpful almost to the point of being rude. The second receptionist was lovely. We had to repeatedly ask for the air conditioning to be turned on as the room was stuffy when we first entered and they turned it off several times. The shower access was unacceptably small. Good location the town was very quiet when we visited on 1st Oct and most of it was shut down.

Home base for discovery
There are lots of things to do in and near Bolsena. The walk from the hotel into town was easy and our favorite restaurant was Trattoria da Picchietto. It was cool and rainy so we didn't do anything at the lake, but it was very pretty.

Great if you don't mind sarcastic receptionist
Very good, comfortable hotel. Only affected adversely by the uppity madam on reception- when I asked where I could find the dining room "You have to ask me! It's there!" I then asked her to rearrange her attitude as I had only asked a civil question. Breakfast was usual continental cheese/meat affair. Woeful choice of fresh fruit, mouldy orange and bashed pear.

Nice hotel - water views - nice little town
It’s an older hotel in a very good location right across from the beach. They provided free off-street & secure parking. The hotel is very clean but small single beds are very hard - and bathroom has the worlds smallest shower. The front desk lady is very pleasant recommended a good local restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was included and offered a complete assortment of tasty items.

Picturesque and romantic! Royal service too.
Was far beyond our expectations, from checking in, to the spectacular breakfast after a good nights rest. The picturesque setting of Hotel Royal is like something out of a classic movie and the decor and 5 star service were superb! Definitely will return here some day.

We booked this hotel as my husband had grown up watching people come and go when he visited Bolsena as a child. Unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations. The rooms were spotlessly clean but the air conditioning didn't work in our first room. The breakfast staff were lovely and helpful in spite of having to tolerate being spoken to as though they were idiots by some of the other guests. The bar wasn't open until about 5 pm or later so when we checked in we couldn't get a drink whilst getting our bearings. There were no services related to the pool, you had to take your own towel and drinks weren't available. As a family we felt that we had to keep our little girl quiet. They did however swap our double and single bed room for one with a separate room for our 3 year old, but why wasn't this offered to us in the first place though. The hotel is overall dated, a bit stuffy and lacking in services. We won't stay again.

Struttura praticamente sul lago. Stile molto classico imponente ma con gusto. Alcune piccole migliorie sulle docce, manca bidet, climatizzatore che si attaccava e staccava di continuo, Tv con vento forte fatica a prendere segnale. Piscina bella e pulita in contesto rilassante.

Het hotel is enigszins gedateerd. We hadden een van de 2 kamers met balkon en verbleven vlak boven de ingang. De kamer was erg klein wat ook gold voor de badkamer. Wel een koelkastje op de kamer. Op het balkon kon je niet met 2 personen zitten ( veel te smal), er stond ook maar 1 stoel. Het ontbijt en het zwembad waren goed. Een minpunt is de airco. Deze kon slechts centraal geregeld worden en gaat snachts, men zegt om 1.00 uit, maar wij merkten dat de airco al om 00.15 uit ging. Omdat het de afgelopen dagen erg warm was en je juist in de nacht een koele kamer wenst, hebben wij ons verblijf afgebroken. Ook de WiFi doet het niet op alle kamers. Men vertelde dat dit door de dikke muren kwam… Al met al voor een landurig verblijf wanneer het hoog zomer is, geen aanrader!

Bad, don’t book unless you know about this
They turn off the A/C 12 hrs each day. Not acceptable in a heat wave. Rooms very dated feel like 80s. Carpet in room feel ceeepy. Very small bathroom and shower. Only positive was the girl in the reception that was very nice and very understanding When we had to move from the Hotel because of misinformation regarding the A/C. It felt like she had been thru this several times. It was the managers decision to turn of A/C every day. She didnt charge us anything for late cancellation

Koselig hotell ved stranden i Bolsena.
Flotte, velholdte fellesområder både inne og ved bassenget. Størrelse på rom ok, god seng. Lite bad, med veldig liten dusjnisje. Teppegulv. Aircondition stoppet i løpet av natten og det var ikke mulig å få den på igjen, vinduene kunne heldigvis åpnes og det hjalp litt i varmen. Wifi var treg og resepsjonisten hadde utfordinger med Wifi i da vi skulle betale ved utsjekk. God frokost. Hyggelig betjening.

Mi è capitata una camera decisamente piccola, il letto matrimoniale con due materassi singoli, il frigo bar con pochissima scelta e nessun servizio ristorante all'interno dell'hotel. Molto buona la posizione dell'hotel.

Buongiorno, ci dispiace profondamente per la sua recensione negativa, perchè facciamo del nostro meglio per rendere il più confortevole e piacevole possibile il soggiorno dei nostri clienti. Per quanto riguarda i punti che hanno reso spiacevole il suo soggiorno ci teniamo a precisare che la tipogia dei letti è quella comune alla maggior parte degli alberghi e che la dotazione del frigo bar è standard. Se lei avesse espresso il desiderio di avere qualsiasi altro snack o bevanda in stanza avremmo fatto il possibile per soddisfare le sue richieste. E' ben specificato che il nostro Hotel non dispone di Ristorante interno. Speriamo di averla di nuovo come gradito ospite e di poterla far ricredere sul giudizio che ha espresso su di noi.

Piacevole soggiorno da ripetere
Ottimo hotel posizionato in riva al lago di Bolsena con bella piscina (non ancora in funzione) ed ampio parcheggio. Personale cordiale. Il ristorante, ottimo, situato in un hotel della stessa proprietà non molto distante. Bella camera in stile classico. Buona colazione. .

A hotel beside lovely lake
Does not have impact. It was neither so good or bad. But Location is perfect! If you don't have car, it will be hard to reach there. However if you arrive the hotel, you would forget everything you've experienced bad, just feel peaceful and happy.

Flott hotel ved stranden, egen parkering, greie rom. Utmerket for turer i nærområdet. Civita di Bagnoreggio, Orvieto, Pitligano og ikke minst Terme di Saturnia er steder som bare må oppleves. Nydelig strandpromenade like ved hotellet.
