A super-friendly little hotel, well-priced and well located in Bologna, close to the sights and some great coffee shops/bars. The room was a little old-fashioned but comfortable and clean. The bathroom likewise was a bit small but did the job for a short stay. Thoroughly enjoyable stopover in Bologna.

The man that helped us was absolutely fantastic. He was wonderful. The hotel was not what was expected at all if you’re looking for a hostile and you’re young this would be the type of place. It’s right in the middle of town. It’s a wonderful location.But there’s nothing hotel like about it. tiny room tiny room no elevators again if it’s the youth hostel you’re looking for this is it if you want any semblance of a hotel this is not it

Great little place, great location next to center.

This historical building has been stylishly restored by the owner. Very tasteful. The owner is very charming and friendly and we will be back to see him when we return to Bologna. He even took the time out to take me to the local cafe to take a coffee together whilst I waited for my wife to pack :)

Great small hotel in the city centre

Lovely, small and functional hotel. Certainly not a full a full service property but it’s not at all required for a short weekend away enjoying the city. Great location near to the centre and surrounded by great bars, restaurants and gelato stores!

The buon hotel is a funny one as there isn’t a permanent receptionist so feels a bit half hotel half Airbnb. Paolo was helpful and responsive. Location is about 15-30’ walk from main train station but very close to the main square and sights. Area felt safe.

Welcoming

I arrived way before check in and Paolo was waiting for me with a smile. The single room is small, but has everything you could need. Ac in room, super clean, comfy bed, fairly quiet. 2 minute walk to the main square and eateries. It’s homey.

The property was located exactly where we wanted to be, just off the main road. The property was quiet. There is a steep stairway right when you come in the front door. The room itself was really small, the a/c didn’t work, and the staff was aware of this. The drapes were stuck in the window and my husband had to stand on the desk to get them free in able to close them.

Great central hotel

The location is excellent, unfortunately there was building work going on at the building next door. There were two flights of stairs which should be mentioned. The bathroom had packets of soap, a soap dispenser would be better and the bidet cannot be used as u get the radiator in your right knee, such a shame The staff were b friendly and helpful

Good location!

Very central and clean. Friendly staff: very helpful and informative. The only downside (but I think that may be due to the particular position of my room just on top of the stairs) was that whenever someone would open what I think was the front door (some doors, in any case), my door would shake from the draft created (even if I has my window closed), which felt like somebody trying to enter the room. Clearly, that wasn’t the case but as a female solo traveler took some time to get used to.
