It was only a brief stopover before a river cruise so didn't expect much and I guess it met expectations. Area around the hotel was a little dirty and there wasn't much to walk to. Hotel room was basic (fine) and the sheets and floor were clean. Bathroom wasn't as clean. Had a TV but it came with a 2 prong plug ??? Which makes no sense when its a 3 prong country! Breakfast very limited for western palate - no fruit or breaded things apart from toast. Overall as expected - not sure it's 3 star though

The best part of our stay was waking up to the magnificent view from our window. We had no problem getting a taxi to the Sepilok attractions and while the city center is a little worn, there is great food there.

"Ok to stay but now knowing how hot it is in the middle of the day, I would prefer a hotel with a swimming pool. It was alright for the price, located within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and handy location for getting to Sepilok and other places outside city centre by grab car."
