Pretty, old stone farmhouse and medieval buildings

Benefiting from far-reaching views, Domaine de Fumel, our ancient stone Perigordian farmhouse has been sympathetically restored into 7 luxury holiday homes with a magnificent 14m x 7m swimming pool heated by a newly installed solar system. Standing in its own 53 acres of vines and farmland it provides an oasis of calm for the discerning holidaymaker, the absence of children keeps the noise level to gentle clinking of glasses, after-lunch snoring and occasional tinkles of laughter. A lot of time and thought has gone into carefully furnishing each cottage, with some country antiques and large, comfortable beds. All kitchens are generously equipped including full cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave and the pretty bedrooms will be made ready for your arrival with linen changed weekly. Outside each cottage is a private terrace area with table, chairs, sun beds and a gas barbecue. Our land includes extensive lawned and shaded areas, fruit and nut trees, vines through which to walk, benches and sun beds to relax on and enjoy the peace, company of others, giant garden chess, views, sunsets and floodlit pool. New facility for air travellers, see our website. 2 miles away is the stunning medieval town of Issigeac with a choice of good restaurants, local shopping and a great Sunday morning market. Close to all the historical, cultural and sporting activities of the Dordogne, excellent restaurants and vineyards and 20 minutes from Bergerac Airport.

Top gite.

Very comfortable gite with great facilities in a fantastic location. The pool is splendid. Bunty and Dave are great hosts, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Fellow guests were great fun. No children is a bonus, and the house cat was very friendly. Easily recommended.
