About this property

Beautiful cabin near to the Laguna de Guatavita

  • ENG/ESP/DEU/FRA - Beautiful cabin near to the Laguna de Guatavita. Enjoy a stay out in the nature and in the wonderful and mystical region of the Sacred Lagoon. The cabin has a queen size bed in the 2nd floor and the option for an air mattress in the 1st (max 4 people), a full kitchen, a bathroom with hot water. Also, a fire pit/BBQ, a trampoline for the kids, and a greenhouse with an organic garden in the premise. Beautiful hikes for all levels and other activities on request (paid separately).

    The cabin is completely new (July 2022) and has comfortable spaces. The interior is made up of wood keeping temperatures within the cabin. The cabin‘s water is heated through a gas heater. There is space for an air mattress in the first floor for a 3rd and 4th adult or child. There's a TV with Netflix. The Wi-Fi works around the cabin. Several spaces within the farm (gardens, fire pit, garage) are shared with guests staying at the house (4-room house available and offered through a separate listing).

    The cabin is available completely for its use with exclusivity. All kitchen tools for cooking and dinning utensils are available. Guests can use the fire pit/BBQ, the bouncer for the kids, and have access to the greenhouse and organic garden (exterior spaces shared with house guests).

    We speak English, Spanish, German and French. Feel free to ask us about our hikes or other activities in the region (paid separately). The house just outside the cabin is not included in this listing but is available for booking on a separate one (together with the cabin or independently). The house has a capacity of up to 8 guests in 2.5 floors. It has 4 heated rooms with bathrooms, a kitchen with all cooking tools, refrigerator, oven, etc, and a comfortable living room with a a fireplace.

    Please note, that some spaces (bbq, fire pit, trampoline, organic gardens, garage) are shared between cabin and house guests

I had a short layover in Bogotá and wanted to spend it in a calm, natural setting just outside the city. Staying at Laguna de Guatavita was an absolutely spectacular experience. The cabin is nestled in lush greenery, offering total peace and quiet—yet it's surprisingly easy to get in and out of Bogotá, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle without feeling remote. The accommodation strikes a rare and wonderful balance: high-standard amenities in a traditional, nature-filled environment. Everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay was thoughtfully provided. One of the true highlights of the experience was meeting Jorge. He’s an outstanding host—fully fluent in English and German, incredibly well-travelled, and deeply passionate about Colombia and his home city. His affinity for healthy living, yoga, mindful eating, and life coaching made our conversations all the more meaningful and enriching. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that he offers private tours of Bogotá and the surrounding areas, which I’d highly recommend to anyone wanting a more personal, in-depth experience of the region. Whether you're a visitor or a local looking for a quiet retreat, I recommend this property without any hesitation.

El gran diferenciador de nuestro viaje fue la atención de Jorge, un host excelente que se aseguró de que tuviéramos la mejor experiencia posible. El lugar gozaba de una ubicación privilegiada que nos envolvió en una paz y tranquilidad inigualables, ideal para olvidarnos del estrés. Nos encantó que no tuvimos que preocuparnos por absolutamente nada, ya que contaba con todos los servicios incluidos, impecables y muy cómodos. Sin duda, fue un lugar al que decidimos que regresaríamos.
