"5 stars to Antonio and the security guard for being friendly and helpful. Zero stars to management for severely understaffing this property. With constant lines out the door st registration and no one manning either guest services station and no one answering the phone when you call house keeping, the front desk, or the bellman line, I wasnt able to talk to anyone about a horrible sour milk smell on one of our beds. We all had to cram on to one bed because one had a horrible odor. The next day I finally was able to speak to someone who I think was the manager and he just looked at me blankly. He did not care at all. He did not even send a house keeper. Otherwise it was a really nice stay. Hire more people. Stop cutting corners. When you pay almost a grand to somewhere both beds should be usable. "

"The room was filthy with obvious soiling on the walls, the headboard of the bed, and the bathroom counter. When I wiped down the brown streaks and splatters on the wall next to the bed with a Clorox wipe, the wipe turned completely brown with whatever soiling was on the wall. The room smelled like dirty bathroom and cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. There were greasy fingerprints on the headboard of the bed. The bathroom door was covered in a layer of grunge on high touch areas proving that it had never been scrubbed down to prevent the build-up of grime. The top sheet of the bed was visibly dirty and the warm blanket underneath was covered in human hairs woven into the fabric all over. It was a gross place. "

"Very clean, very large and well appointed room. Very quiet with really comfortable bed. Shower and bath very clean. Breakfast was very good with many choices set out in a beautiful room. The hotel is in a historic building, with new addition for rooms, right across from Sutter's Fort State Historic Park in center Sacramento. Good place to walk with lots of shade trees. Nearby there are many options for eating. The state capitol with lovely gardens is very close. There is street parking nearby. We will return when we visit Sacramento relatives again."
