"This is a 2-part hotel; an older, beach-front building, with a newer annex across the street. The annex is above a parking area and is accessed by elevator. The beach building is two stories, stair access only. Only a few rooms at the west end have a beach view. But it is walk-out to the beach, with lots of chairs and lounges, tables under lit shelter, pool, and well-landscaped patio. Easy walk to a breakfast joint in one direction, and a coffee shop in the other. Note that our room had a kitchenette (sink, fridge, mike, toaster, and 1-cup coffeemaker), but there's no plates, glasses, or cutlery, not even coffee stirrers. There were coffee pods and two mugs, and you can go to the lobby coffee machine and get some plastic spoons. There were USB ports in the wall sconces and nightstand, but the sconces had to be powered on by a wall switch fot the ports to be live."

"Our room was clean and comfy. The pool setting is great for morning sun until 2 pm. It was good also when beach was too breezy. Coffee and drinks available in office. Deb is the owner, very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for all around beach vacation. Parking was never a problem. "

"It did not overlook the beach. It overlooked a channel. Kitchen was fine. Floor was dirty but otherwise the place was clean. Pool was awesome."

"The pool and outdoor area was amazing. We loved being able to walk to the beach. The kayaks were fun and we saw dolphins super close. The host was very responsive and went above and beyond. "

"We loved our stay at Island House hotel! They had everything we needed and more. It’s a very lowkey friendly atmosphere, with some longer term guests and others just passing through as we were. It was well stocked and had great amenities, close to the beach and fun/family friendly. Very kind staff and helpful! One thing that could be a bit bothersome is guests are permitted to smoke outside of rooms and around the pool and we did find a regular presence of smoke in the air (not in the room at all, that was very clean and smoke free!) which we didn’t love to have our kids around. "

"Parking was provided and easy to access. The condo provided beach towels and coolers which is always nice to have available. The kitchen provided ample dishes and glassware as well as pots and pans however the pots and pans needed to be cleaned/scrubbed prior to use. The cleaning crew may lack some training in cleanliness as the floors were dirty and we needed to wear socks to keep our feet clean. Also they should have alerted the manager that the front bathroom sink did not drain properly and the toilet would run ever few minutes obviously needing repair. Also a suggestion to have blackout curtains in the bedrooms would be a plus!"
