Once you arrive at the driveway located right on Hwy. 76 you know it's gonna be a great getaway because you won’t share your 2.5 acres of mountain paradise with a neighborhood of other cabins around you! As you ascend the mountain on the private concrete paved driveway(No scary drop-offs and No 4 wheel drive needed) you will feel the worlds troubles melting away as you view the cabin nestled perfectly on the mountain and the dead-end privacy at the front cabin door! As you exit your vehicle just listen because you are going to hear alot of nothing while inhaling the fresh Blue Ridge Mountain air! When you get your first glance of the expansive, layered, east-facing panoramic mountain views WOW! or JAW DROPPING as past guests have said! Then stepping through the front door you’ll surely notice the vaulted ceilings with massive wooden beams, all wood (No Sheetrock) interior, black iron security plates and multitudes of recessed ceiling LED lights! No extra stop to pick up\return keys because each guest party will have their own key code and NEW in 2022-Jack Daniels whiskey barrel game table w/ 400 games!
One of your favorite things will be grabbing a mug of coffee from the Keurig and heading to the wrap-around viewing porch to recline on one of the 4 double swings (2 on the upper wrap around porch and 2 on the lower party patio) while absorbing the long range panoramic mountain views! Georgia Sunrise Cabin is the perfect place for RELAXATION!
Or gather your family and friends around you, build a fire in the firepit with its own unique alcove deck and cuddle up on the 3 wooden benches built by the owners! The fire pit can be used as a charcoal grill that you can cook on also! BBQ and converse with other friends/ family lounging in the hot tub because these 2 amenities are close together! There's also a large 5 burner gas grill with unlimited propane on the upper viewing deck! Our 2800 sq. ft. of covered decks and Party Patio is a definite past guest favorite!
On to the roof covered LED lighted 7 person hot tub for a relaxing soak while gazing at the mountain views (Yes! We completely drain and refill the hot tub after every guest!) Be sure to see the stunning sunrise from the hot tub! Hence the name of our cabin-Georgia Sunrise!
After a luxury soak in the hot tub grab a towel and sit by the stacked stone fireplace hand built by the owners with a gas log insert! The fireplace is located in the family/dining/kitchen area upstairs so everyone can be together whether preparing food, eating at the huge dining table or watching TV. Past guest favorite also!
After you're warmed up settle down with family and watch the new 65'' Smart QLED TV with Dish Network, Netflix and Amazon Prime viewing options.
If you decide you have to connect to the outside world there is unlimited WIFI available!
Next to the unique Rustic Sandwashed Pine pool table w/ 1” slate that was hand built in Russia for a game of pool while watching your favorite sports or listening to your favorite jams on the 55'' LED Smart TV!
For the children or young at heart there's another media room beside the bunk room with a wall mount 55" LED TV, Playstation 3 and a large PS3 game library! Leather sectional seating and a small child’s recliner completes the room. This room is also a hit with past guests!
After an amazing hike and those hunger pangs strike head to the incredible gourmet kitchen with everything a gourmet cook would need to cook up a favorite family meal! From Tramontina 3-ply stainless steel cookware to a Ninja blender/food processor it's all there! The distressed black cabinets were finished by the owners adding to the rustic mountain atmosphere! When you are cooking for a large family gathering you are in luck because there is an amazing 10 1/2 foot oak dining table with 8 hand carved dining chairs, a live bark edge bench ( proudly built by owners) and an Old Hickory rustic chandelier for ambient lighting! There's also a 10 foot picnic table/benches on the upper wrap porch for large family gatherings beside the propane grill! If you need to make a quick run for liquid refreshment or viddles the town of Blue Ridge is only 9 miles away from the cabin!
For those sure to happen UH OH's there's a large laundry room with Extra Large Capacity LG washer and dryer and granite folding table. Large hanging rack, iron, ironing board, laundry detergent and dryer sheets also provided.
The large bedrooms will not disappoint either. All three of the king sized pillow top mattresses are absolutely amazing to sleep on. Our guests are always asking us “Where did you get those mattresses?" Stay as our guests and experience them too! The upstairs master bedroom is fully furnished with a massive reclaimed barn-wood bed with head and foot board. There are 2 night stands with bear table lamps, a 5 drawer chest of drawers and a large mirrored dresser also made of reclaimed barnwood! New in 2020 we added a huge private master bathroom with 5’ step in handicap shower and a large vanity w/ sink and mirror! The additional 2 large bathrooms each w/ 2 sinks are both centrally located on the upper and lower floor.
The other 2 king sized downstairs bedrooms are furnished with rustic hand made furniture purchased from Jerry's Mountain Furniture in Blue Ridge. One of the bedrooms is black walnut and the other is rustic Mountain Laurel branches. Both beds have head and foot boards and 2 night stands with table lamps.
The 3 screen doors were built by the owners with wood from the Chattahoochee National Forest where this great cabin sits!
You will find it easy to unwind here but hard to go home after staying at the Georgia Sunrise!
