This hotel was right by the water with a beautiful view of the sunset each evening. The staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean. We would stay here again.

The most beautiful hotel in Iceland. A waterfall view from my room. Icelandic horses, sheep and goats on the property. A magnificent spot to relax and enjoy Iceland’s beauty.

We stayed in Apt 6 which has a separate sitting area and bedroom. Cozy with a great view. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was one of the biggest of the 7 hotels we stayed in so far in Iceland.

Stayed in church suite which is fantastic. My wife played the organ in her church as a teen so was playing the old organ which still works in the suite. It’s nice to keep the old church funded and going. Tapestries are nice touch. Generally open concept, and the hotel only rents the suite out to couples but made an exception for us to stay in their as a family. There are 2 twin beds upstairs usually not used. No walls, just a curtain around the bed, so that is why Hotel Blönduós rents the room out to couples usually. As you’ll hear everything upstairs and down. Anyways a fantastic historical stay, well appointed furniture. A nice treat for those who are religious or maybe curious. Breakfast excellent. Anna was fantastic to book and check in with. She accomodared us very well. We wish Hotel Blönduós continued best wishes.

Quaint hotel somewhat off the main path of towns in Iceland. Good stopping point on the western section of the ring road. Interesting restaurant menu. Good quality rooms - nice that they did not have TV. Breakfast service was a bit overwhelmed as most guest seemed to come towards the end of service period.

Perhaps the most comfortable bed of our trip, nice room with view of the sea. Good breakfast lovely staff. We didn't eat in for supper so can’t comment. Clearly recently refurbished it was an ideal stop on our way back south

Property inside was clean. The rooms are very small even for a deluxe room. The outside area is not very tidy. Breakfast is just a standard continental breakfast.

Charming, little, hotel, right by the sea. The exterior is a bit unassuming, maybe even a bit uninviting but the interior renovations have lots of personality. Room was comfortable and well appointed for its size, and the restaurant churned out tasty food. I would critique the pricing a bit, based on the location (Blonduos isn’t exactly a bustling tourist hub) and that while tasty, the food pricing was in-line with 4-star hotels in Myvatn and Vik, and the elevated presentation didn’t fit the hotel's atmosphere and came off feeling fussy. Overall, a great little hotel to spend the night while circling the ring road.

The hotel has a comfortable, “local” feel. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The dinner service was great. The menu was one where they have a small number of choices but everything is fresh and beautifully cooked. Breakfast options were varied and delicious and healthy.
