If you are looking for a hotel that is on a beach, this is good place to stay. If you are looking for a quiet stay, this is not your place. This is a old wooden structure with no carpet in rooms or hallway. Noise transmission was much higher than most hotels. Our room was much smaller than expected and although we had an ocean view, the windows had labels that said “ enjoy the view but keep windows closed “. The windows had counterweights removed so they wouldn’t stay open. Disappointing to not be able to open ocean view windows and hear waves lapping on the shore.

Overall our stay was good. The staff was great. Nice, friendly very accommodating. At first glance the property is really nice. very well appointed. Until you look around and you see it need a serious cleaning and paint refresh. Some porch railings look like they weren't even cleaned before the season began. The pool area is lovely but needs a major cleaning also.

i spent 1,500 dollars for one night, a 2-bedroom suite and I got a 2bedroon apt with no kitchen and very small. The pictures online were beautiful when i seen my room it did not look like the picture

The hotel’s location can’t be beat. It’s a short walk from the ferry and has plenty of restaurants that are within walking distance. The condition of the hotel however is a little run down. We noticed visible mold throughout the property (on the walls behind the surfboards hanging), there was visible water damage (bulging wallpaper/plaster), and the rooms were very small. Keep in mind that although there is an elevator, this is not a true handicap friendly hotel. Overall, the view from our room was wonderful and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location was great, beach chairs/umbrella service and prime seating area with bar and food right there along with views from room were the best thing about this place. Climbing 4 flights of stairs to get to my room in 90 degrees with no ac on first floor or in hallways/stairways was the worst. And the room was tight, felt a little closed in.

I told them I had Expedia vip membership and they had no idea what I was talking about. I am also a member of the Lark club but they said bc I booked through Expedia I did not get any benefits. The staff was nice but not at all knowledgeable. The room was supposed to be cleaned but it wasn’t. The outdoor features and free coffee were the best qualities of the property. Just did not seem worth the night room night charge except for location.

We were assigned a room in The Gables on the 3rd floor. Very steep stairway but our bags were delivered to our room. The room was ridiculously small. One of us had to sit in the bed while the other got showered and dressed. Shower door only opened a quarter of the way before it hit the toilet. Had to turn sideways to walk between the end of the bed and the tv on the wall. Called the front desk this morning to have our bags carried down and let it ring for 15 minutes and no one answered. For a cost of over $1300 for 2 nights, we expected much more. Terribly overpriced!

We liked the location, we liked the parking. The room with a king bed was on 2nd floor and had very little floor space to walk around. The bathroom was supertight, very little floor space between pedestal sink, toilet and shower stall. We also had very noisy neighbors above us. Loved our stay, the property is in a great location and really enjoyed having access to the beach as well as a pool down the street. Check-in was a little bumpy as we stood at the desk for over 10mins before staff appeared to help but otherwise ALL staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We also did not realize our room was not in the main building but down the road which at first we did not really like but it turned out fine and maybe even better! We definitely enjoyed the privacy of the guest house we stayed in and would not of gotten this in the main hotel. Plenty of parking. The room could have been cleaner as there was a dirty cotton round with makeup on it on the floor in the bathroom but things happen. Will definitely be returning!
