"Probably the best part about this hotel was the staff. From the moment we got the to the moment that we left the staff was amazing and so attentive. Juancho was our server and he was awesome! The beach day beds were comfortable and right in front of the water. Now to the not so good things. There were issues with locking doors. The two rooms we stayed in did not lock properly. (It is safe there though) the toilets do not flush. Some times we had to go to the outside bathrooms and those didn’t flush either. We had to ask for a bucket to fill up and flush ourselves. And the food was mid. "

"My stay at Sofitel Barú Calablanca Beach Resort was absolutely incredible from start to finish. 🌟 The service was truly amazing — the staff went above and beyond at every moment and are honestly some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with top-tier amenities throughout the resort. The beach and pool area were stunning, clean, and perfectly maintained — a true paradise. But what really stood out… THE FOOD — WOW. Every meal was exceptional, full of flavor, and exceeded expectations. From A to Z, this was a flawless experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for luxury, relaxation, and world-class service. I will definitely be back!"

"The staff was wonderful and the food was excellent. Unfortunately, the room was not what we booked or paid for. After traveling for over 17 hours, our room was not ready upon arrival and was still dirty. We specifically reserved a balcony room, but the room we were given did not have a balcony. Additionally, there was no hot water, and the air conditioning was only available between 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., which was very uncomfortable."

"Very unsafe area for tourist! Do not come to this hotel unless you're prepared to get ripped off by every individual at the hotel and all along the beach. The couches were coverd in mold, the lights only worked between 6pm and 6am. The water was not working and no AC in the room. I stayed one night and left as soon as I could, I requested a refund but was met by rude responses from the staff even after listing all of the issues. Ill be posting the pictures and videos shortly on other social media platforms to warn people of this place."
