"Wonderful owners Mike and his wife and staff. They treat you like family. My husband Ken and I stayed in Dec and in Jan. The rooms are always clean and cozy. I always have the best sleep there. It’s so quiet! And big beds are wonderful. Also the motel is very close to a quint little town for great local food and great ambiance, especially of a little caboose for pastry and coffee. When we come into town Northwoods Motel is the place to stay. "

"They do a good job, everything was clean and in good repair. Staff was friendly. Rooms were fairly quite. Swimming pool was fairly small. OK for the kids to play in or to do aerobic exercise but you are not going to swim laps. Easy access onto Meridian so easy to get in and out for wherever you needed to go. The breakfast was bar was well stocked, precooked standard fair eggs, cereal, bagels, sweet rolls, yogurt. etc. Will definitely stay there again when we are in the area. "

"The hotel is a tad bit dated, but it is spotless! My room was so clean, there wasn’t even dust anywhere. Even the filters in the air conditioner/heater were brand new! I know because I checked! The bed was super comfortable. The pillows could use some work, they were a bit flat. But, that is certainly not a deal breaker. I ordered breakfast one morning and it was brought to my room within 20 minutes of me ordering it. It was delicious, hot, and very filling. It was so much food that I couldn’t eat it all. If you order pancakes and don’t have a huge appetite, you should only order one! I liked the fact that every staff member I interacted with was so friendly. Even one man who was walking a trash can down the hall smiled and said hi. It was super simple to check in and check out. When I first got there, I’d brought ice cream and placed it in the freezer. Unbeknownst to me, it was not on. I told the front desk and they fixed it immediately and even gave me a coupon for free ice cream. I’m not in this part of the state very often and there are some places I wanted to visit while I was there that I couldn’t because of the weather. When I go back, I will definitely be staying at this hotel. "

"All staff were friendly with a smile and helpful. Front dest lady was excellent, forget her name but it was the Friday night around 6PM when we checked in. She was patient, good at explaining everything and was very easy to deal with. Rooms were very clean and nice to have a complimentary drink and snack each evening as well (nice touch). Spa area was clean and appreciated the hours which gave us time to enjoy it without being rushed. Overall it was a great stay for all of us as we were a group of 10 with 5 rooms and nobody I talked to had any negative comments."
