Typical Blackpool hotel, one of the cleaner ones, shower was not the best but other than that was ok. The lady on the reception doesn’t have a clue what’s going on.
I didn’t expect much being cheap but the staff were welcoming and friendly yet the room was dirty the bedding hadn’t been changed smelled foisted and was damp the room also had a damp smell it was the front room so you could hear everything outside the blinds were taped up , the other guest (who walked in and got a room for £35 we’re trouble) were in and out constantly banging doors until 4am we left as soon as we woke if we hadn’t of arrived late with children we wouldn’t have stayed it was our only option
When we arrived at the check in time of 3pm there was no one at the property. I phoned countless times and knock on the door but no answer. I contacted Hotels.com and eventually the owner was tracked down so all in all it took 90 minutes to get in the room. To add further insult the WiFi in the room was out of range (if any) and the tv had no signal as it had no aerial cable fitted. Add to that there was no tea and coffee in the room and you begin to see the organisation of the Stanley Hotel. On a plus side the room was clean but by then the stay was in tatters. Luckily for me my kids saw the funny side and it took me back to an era of Fawlty Towers so not all lost.
