The hotel is in need of a update. The bed wa awful went down on 1 side. Food wasn't the best. Entertainment was brilliant.

Amazing weekend

Had an amazing weekend at the Claremont hotel. All inclusive food is amazing drinks included. Staff are so friendly rooms really comfortable

Weekend away

We have stayed here several times & would book again it has everything you need good onsite free parking the food is really good & the entertainment is good there is a swimming pool but it was closed when we were there which did'nt bother us

Lovely food limited drinks on the all inclusive however there is something for everyone Rooms needed a deep clean, crumbs grime on surfaces etc mattress needed renewing would have liked memory foam but this is down to personal choice.

The hotel is amazing value for money brilliant entertainment both evenings both comedians so funny ,food brilliant only downside toilets could be situated on the same level as entertainment as it is not great having to go downstairs to use especially after alchohol .Our room was a bit dated but I understand that the hotel is doing rooms up gradually overall would stay again hopefully in the future toilets be made available upstairs

We had such a brilliant stay we extended it. Our room was very small when we arrived but the staff on reception changed it straight away. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and plenty of it. We had stayed here before covid . This was our first time since then . We strongly recommend this hotel. Friendly helpful staff. It’s all inclusive and there is entertainment every night. Book into this hotel and have a great time. We will definitely be booking again. Absolutely fantastic stay

The room we were given was 335 it was small grubby and in my opinion unacceptable.. The view out of the window was of an inner court yard that looked derelict.. An extraction fan came on at around 4am that I assume was the kitchen preparing breakfast...I am so disappointed in Expedia excepting rooms of this standard...I would expect Expedia to expect rooms of a decent standard

Excellent visit, was our 1st time and really enjoyed it from start to finish..staff so friendly and helpful. Meals- wow!!....amazing choices...starters, main is served by waitresses and help yourself to starter and pudding...so much to choose, some night's we had just starter and pudding. Breakfast..help yourself from cooked ,cereals, fruit and toast. All drinks free as all inclusive. Rooms we had a standard twin single...bathrooms were ok in size. Fresh bedding and towels daily..more if you require. Extra blankets, only one lift and lots of stairs. Entertainment in day if you don't want to go outside. On the seafront so beautiful views. Entertainment every night- bingo, comedian and then singer ...of the 5 night's we stayed, each act was excellent. Staff so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go again. Would definitely recommend. Met some lovely people, we were glad no kids that week, as we both needed a break and holiday which was extremely great.

Claremont pros and cons

Hotel is old but noticed some new carpet in places so obviously trying to keep it up to scratch. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Food is brilliant also my husband is coeliac and the Portuguese restaurant manager is great. Hotel provided a good choice for him. Only thing was no scrambled egg in morning. All our party commented on this. Our major gripe was we were very early on Friday night and just managed to get in concert room but on the Saturday it was 8 o clock and no room. Seeing as the entertainment is part of the reason we go we were very disappointed. Don’t know if any more tables can be put in the room

Lovely stay at Claremont again but…

We stayed in a lovely side sea view room. Looked like it had been newly decorated. Bathroom is clean but really old fashioned and trying to get in and out of the bath to have a shower is scary. The one thing that was disappointing this stay was the gluten free meal for my husband who is coeliac. What was supposed to be lamb Henry was cubes of processed lamb looked a bit like dog food to be honest. The restaurant manager who in the past has been excellent did say that the lamb had been cut into cubes and offered a substitute but when it came it looked awful. My husband who is not a fussy eater sent it back because it was freezing cold. When it came back the meat was lukewarm although the rest was hot. He couldn’t eat it and told the young waiter who himself said it looked awful. It’s a shame as he has been so well looked after in the past

Disappointed

Checking was 4pm,due to problem with hotel housekeeping, I arrived 2pm as stated on my e.mail, and the time I checked in last year.. I accepted the hotel problem, was given drinks band but told couldn’t use until 3pm, couldn’t leave cases anywhere… reception disagreed that I didn’t have to sit there for 2hrs as check in is always 3pm,,, I was with my disabled friend and had been dropped off at the hotel, so was unable to put my cases in a car,,.. felt that due to hotels problem, we should have at least been able to use our band to get tea/coffee.. nothing was offered regarding the hotel problem of having to wait, to ease holidaymakers situation, I was told bingo is not played at weekends, I said oh ok, but it was played weekend last year, but I know showing the England match would have to have changed things, reception stated No bingo is not played at weekends at all…, that’s fine, but I was made to feel like I was wrong when I just compared this year to last year… although again accepted the problem the hotel had… it was a boring wait sat around and reception didn’t seem to care… and completely disagreed with everything I said about my visit the previous year.., the hotel food was lovely. But won’t be staying there again
