Private Upper Room w/large soaking tub/shower, view of 7 Sisters Mountains!

Winter discounts. Cozy upper room, very private. Separate entrance from residence upstairs. Queen bed, retro mini fridge and microwave, Mr. Coffee with coffee provided, Cedar lined closet with luggage racks, and extra storage space. Deck with view of the 7 Sisters mountain range, great for soaking up rays or star gazing. Wi-fi, Smart TV. Spacious bath with freestanding soaking tub and separate shower. We do have A/C and heat. Walk to downtown Black Mountain where you will find quaint mountain shops, great restaurants, breweries and more. 15 minutes to Asheville. We are dog friendly with full fencing. Large stone firepit with wood provided. Deck with swing and bench, full back yard with grill. The small fridge does not make ice but will be happy to provide ice and cooler. Montreat 5 minutes away with lovely hiking trails, park, church, chappel. Walk or drive to Lake Tomahawk with nice hiking trails and beautiful mountain view.

If you’re looking for a nice place to sleep in Black Mountain this is a great option. It has a good size bedroom and nice bath with shower and soaker tub. There’s also a fridge for your snacks. It was very private, clean and nice. We will definitely stay again in a future visit to the area. Warning to elderly that there is an outdoor set of stairs, so not for those who can’t handle stairs.

The hosts Mary and Will and amazing. The space is comfortable, private, clean, and close to everything. Dog friendly as well which is perfect for us. Best place to stay in Black Mountain hands down!

Cozy and Close to Town

The private upper room was perfect for our needs. Black Mountain was in the twenties, but our room was warm and cozy. Downtown is a minute away by car, or close enough to walk if you're into that sort of thing. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely Getaway!

Thanks so much to Mary for the perfect getaway spot! All the little touches were wonderful and I was extra grateful for my dog Buddy to get some play time with Taz and Ottie! Being in walking distance to downtown was wonderful and the room was clean and comfy.

Always a great stay!

Perfect location within walking distance to all the fun things to do in Black Mountain. The room has everything you need and the shower and huge bathtub are absolutely amazing! Mary adds a little something to make you feel like an appreciated guest. This time it was Christmas cookies.

Great spot!

Nice 1 Bedroom Room

Enjoyed staying here. If you are looking for something simple with quality. This is the place to stay. It is within walking distance, 3-5 minute walk, to downtown Black Mountain. A lot of restaurants to chose from and shops to visit. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Black Mountain.

Steelwood Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend! Our suite was very clean, well maintained and so comfy! The water pressure in the shower was unbelievable! Our dog loved the fenced in backyard and making new friends. Would definitely visit again! Very sweet and accommodating owners.

Great location on a quiet street

We had a wonderful time! The Sat Farmers Mkt was only a few blocks away and downtown was so close. We walked EVERYWHERE. Great hiking in Montreat a mile up the road. Terrific weekend getaway. Accommodations were perfect, better than a hotel room. Exactly as advertised.

Amazing cabin experience!

My experience during a weekend retreat was wonderful here. Extremely clean and organized, with the hostess having things completely thought through for me. Very generous and very comfy here. I will be coming back to enjoy another wonderful backyard view, fire, and walk to downtown Black Mountain!

Perfect Size

This upper room in a lovely house has everything needed for a Black Mountain getaway. Owner gave my wife and I full privacy, but was very responsive when anything came up. Couldn't recommend this property enough!

Relaxing

Just what we needed. Very quaint and cozy. Very close to downtown Black Mountain. Short drive to the Billy Graham Training Center where we were attending a seminar. Very much recommend to any and all looking for a quiet and peaceful get away.

Wonderful Visit

Black Mountain is a charming mountain community with the nicest people. I have stayed in the Cozy Upper Room on four separate occasions over the last several years. Mary is a fantastic host. She is very accommodating and definitely goes the extra mile. I will continue to book this listing as long as it is available.

Cozy Upper Room Indeed!

This was our second stay at the cozy upper room, and we had just as wonderful a stay as the first time! The apartment is clean and they have put so many thoughtful details and snacks into it! Our dog loved meeting Taz and Otie, also! We will be back again! Thank you!
