Family time in the mountains

This cabin was perfect place to unwind for our family. Beautiful accommodations, stunning scenery, and wonderful location to explore. We enjoyed day trip to nearby Nederland. The house has everything we could ask for and more. Jed and Damaris have an amazing property and we hope to return!

River View

Fantastic property, well appointed. Window and deck perfectly positioned to maximize the views down the river. We stayed and skied Eldora each day and then came back for hot tub, steam shower, fire pit and dinner. Amazing.

Wedding Wonderland

We could not have been happier with our stay. The cabin was gorgeous, the views were breathtaking, and the amenities were second to none. We didn’t want to leave!! Jed & Damaris were thoughtful and so responsive. The perfect hosts! We chose this beautiful setting to get married and celebrate our union. It was magical. We highly recommend staying at the best cabin in the mountains, overlooking South Boulder Creek.

Perfect Mountain Getaway – Stunning Views & Amazing Amenities!

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views right out of the front windows—pictures just don’t do it justice. The location was perfect, nestled in a peaceful, private setting while still being conveniently close to both Nederland and Blackhawk. Whether we wanted to explore town or just relax in nature, it was the best of both worlds.The cabin itself was beautifully maintained and stocked with everything we needed. The amenities were top-notch, from the cozy living spaces to the well-equipped kitchen—cooking with their HexClad pans was such a fun experience! The attention to detail in the home made it feel warm and welcoming.The host was fantastic—super responsive, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. It’s rare to find a place that checks every box, but this cabin absolutely did. We can’t wait to come back!

Gorgeous & Relaxing Oasis!

This was our 2nd visit where we had another relaxing stay at this gorgeous cabin. So nice this time of year with an outdoor hammock, lush grass and wildflowers outside! The constant sound of the creek is soothes the soul. As usual, our hosts had everything ready and well organized - we didn't need a thing. Enjoyed the steam shower and the jacuzzi tub this time! Just a wonderful and relaxing retreat and we will be back! Thanks for everything! K&K

Outstanding Guys Trip!

I looked at a number of properties before deciding on this one, and I am so glad I waited until I found the right one because this was one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed at. Excellent location (you have to like being off of the beaten path), with anything you need only 15 minutes away in Nederland, which is really cute. Everything was well marked, the kitchen was stocked for preparing chef-type of meals (pots, pans, appliances were top notch). We kept the doors open the entire time just to hear the sound of the river as it raged past us. All in all, an excellent find. We look forward to coming back next year and beyond. Also, they also have a beautiful log cabin next door that they rent as well (but I did not explore that option). If you don't stay here, you're missing out. FYI - get an AWD SUV. You'll be glad you did.

Gorgeous and relaxing getaway! Attention to detail - the best!

Wow! One of the very best VRBO experiences! The reviews are well deserved. The view, the fire, the constant sound of water flowing was just what these two empty nesters needed. To get that with just a quick jaunt from Denver - fabulous! The home was not only beautiful but modern and well equipped, comfortable in every way and the attention to detail was beyond. As a techy - to scan a QR code for wifi, SONOS sound throughout, abundant streaming services and easy access to the home was superior! Didn't go anywhere at all. Cooked,, read, played dominos while enjoying the view was enough! Cannot say enough good things about the hosts! They were responsive and generous with treats and wine to greet us. Even though we hated leaving, they made the departure process the best EVER. No beds to strip, no wacky trash process to deal with - just pack up, turn off lights and go that final touch made the whole stay from arrival to departure relaxing, luxurious and a 5 star experience - we'll be back. Thanks for sharing this amazing space! K & K

What a perfect getaway in the mountains! I could sit and listen to the creek all day! The views were fantastic. The hike near the house was easy to access and we saw a Moose on the trail. The hammock and side yard were great for games and throwing sticks for our puppy. I loved all the lighting, especially in master bedroom. The house was so well organized- the labels and signs explaining things made it so effortless. A lot of thought went into how to make it easy for guests. The location was an easy drive to hikes or to grab a meal. I would love to come back for another stay! Pure relaxation. :)

The cabin was absolutely amazing Check in went smoothly. The host was quick to respond to our needs.The kitchen was stocked with everything you may need or want. Our son loved the loft and the hot tub. The master suite was stupendous. The hosts definitely went above and beyond when designing that space.The cabin, although very isolated, was packed with so many modern amenities. The fire pit on the upper deck was, by far, our favorite spot. The sound of the stream, 24/7, was so relaxing. We loved feeding one particular bird that was there everyday and watching the chipmunks. We also had 2 elk stroll right past the deck on morning. I would highly recommend this cabin for your next getaway!

House and location were great for our hiking trip. Each day we were there we saw a moose walking in the river below! Owners were very responsive and let us know in advance of any issues that we should be aware of. The kitchen may have been the best of any rental I have used in the past. We will try to make it an annual trip!

Incredible stay

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. This place has all the amenities you could ever ask for and is clean, modern, comfortable and meticulously maintained. No stone left unturned. Great, private and convenient location in a river wilderness paradise. Unbelievable property management and house keeping. Perfect Anniversary Getaway

This Riverfront Luxury cabin was everything we had hoped for and so much more. Pictures don’t do justice to how nice and clean this cabin is. Jed and Damaris have put so much thought and effort into making this cabin perfect for their guests. They even emailed us during our stay to make sure that everything was just right for us. We enjoyed sitting by the gas fire pit breathing the mountain air and taking in all of the beautiful scenery. Relaxing in the hot tub was just the ticket to enjoy the cool evenings as we listened to the river running just a few feet away. We also took advantage of some amazingly beautiful hikes within walking distance from the cabin. The cabin is very well stocked with about anything you might need and groceries and other goods are only a few miles away. Jed and Damaris are probably the best hosts we have ever encountered. It was obvious that they truly cared about us and wanted us to have the best time possible. We highly recommend this Luxury Cabin and we will definitely come back againJeff and Tammy Crites

AMAZING MOMENTS

I don't even know where to start.if I could I'd give a 10 star rating! My family and I have been traveling for the holidays and every year we visit a different city; never wanting to revisit anywhere until now. If you are looking for a secluded, cozy, and scenic cabin this is the one! The views are AMAZING no matter where you are at, you can catch a glimpse of nature. To wake up and be covered in snow all around, all from the comfort of the bed was breathtaking. Which brings me to the next thing The beds were comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked with an ample kid dishware seasonings and essentials. We mostly enjoyed the views, the snow, the cabin was just lovely, nobody got homesick everything was perfect. Pictures can't do justice but what you see is exactly what you get and more. We highly recommend you visit Nederland and Eldora, we came across the nicest and cool people in the world. Our goal was to get away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas and relax and we sure did along with plenty of laughs, joyful moments, warm hearts, and plenty of delicious home meals! We miss the trains already.. and I may have to build a similar reading nook so that my son can have a home away from Gilpin.. Last but certainly not least, a huge THANK YOU to Jed, Damaris & Beya who were more than helpful and accommodating from the minute we booked till the moment we were back home! BLESSINGS

Relaxing Getaway

Our stay in this cabin was so special. The cabin is beautiful. Very clean. Has everything you need and more. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. We spent a lot of our time walking the beautiful trails. Views from back cabin are gorgeous especially with the relaxing sound of the creek. We came for rest and relaxing and that’s exactly what we got! Hosts were attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Private Oasis

If you've stopped to look at the listing, just BOOK IT, you WILL NOT regret it. This retreat is very inviting and cozy. It stimulates all of your senses to the point that you really do not need to leave the property!! Of course we did, but could not wait to get back to sit on the deck with the fire pit and listen to the water and train!! Truly an 'unplugged' experience it you want it, which we did. We will definitely be back!!
