"A lovely and recommended place. it was a great experience. We enjoyed walking around the corridors of the castle and discovering the special rooms with weapons and armor. We took part in a tour "Sophie's Cave" - we really enjoyed it, but the downside is that the tour is in German, altow you can try to get an explanation from the guides separately. After the tour we attended a wonderful dinner at the castle."

The best part may be the location--right near the Marktplatz (with plenty of shopping/dining nearby). You are within a couple minutes walking distance from major sites like the Margravial Opera House and the Richard Wagner home. If you are in Bayreuth for the Wagner festival, it's about a 30 minute walk to the Festspielhaus....

"Room requires greater cleanliness - for example there was much dust upon the top of the cupboard and which should be wiped down. The hotel is conveniently situated in Bayreuth but the accompanying map to its location should be more explicit. The breakfast is good."
