Holiday Homes in Big Lake

"When coming in at dark, house numbers are hard to read. If you have issues with stairs this might be hard. Bedrooms are all upstairs and the stairs are steep leading up to them especially hard with luggages. Host never responded when i asked for a late check out due to our flight being severely delayed getting into Anchorage. We got in at 1:30 am had to check out by 10:00. The place is clean and close to the airport we appreciated that. Although, not appropriate for somebody who cannot climb...

"This place was amazing for our first family vacation. Its close to downtown with easy access to everything to do in Anchorage, clean and has everthing you need to feel right at home. The host was willing to help with any and all your needs. 10/10 would recommend."

"Host communicated well, but initiates through the VRBO app so best to have that. This unit was good at the price point, convenient to the airport. It was clean, but portions of the unit looked hastily done and not well finished. Externally is not wonderful. There is no hot tub, there is a tub, it is not a spa/jetted nor multi person (a normal bathroom tub in the bathroom). There was no grill and not much in the way of cooking condiments like oil, spices, etc. That may improve as the season...

"We can’t say enough good things about this home. The view looking over the lake and mountains is stunning. There are beautiful picture windows allowing the light to flood the house. Everything was very clean and inviting. The beds were all comfortable. The communication with the owner was easy and quick. We really hope to come back again!"

"Listing noted 2 beds and that was what the pictures looked like. There was only 1 bed and a futon (not how it was listed). I did ask the question 3 times about the 2nd bed prior to arrival, but never received a response. The futon bed appeared to be covered in dog hair. They had tried to clean it but still dirty. My son slept on the couch once I covered it with a sheet. It seems like the previous renters did have dogs/animals as evident throughout. Contact once on property was easy via text....

"Driving into the neighborhood of the Cottage made us feel at home. The property is very inviting and cozy. The inside of the cottage is bright and welcoming. The kitchen is perfect size for the 2 of us and everything was cleaned, labeled and ready to use. The bed is very comfortable and the mountain view from the bedroom is amazing! We enjoyed being able to walk up to the front yard area to enjoy our coffee and more of the view also. Almost every day of our stay we got to see moose in the yard...
