Snow removal services are supposed to arrive within 24 hours of any snowfall more than 4+ inches, to clear the driveway and a pathway to the main entrance. Snow removal companies cannot guarantee a specific time the property will be serviced. Therefore, guests may have to shovel a spot to park if they arrive before the snow removal company or if it snows during their stay. There have been times in larger storms (2ft+ of snowfall) when snow removal can take longer. It doesn’t happen often, and our other guests have always been able to make it work. Just know that in those cases we are doing everything we can to get someone out there.

Please be aware that weather conditions can change rapidly especially during winter months. We are unable to honor last-minute cancellations due to weather/road conditions. Chains or 4WD/AWD vehicle requirements are often in effect in order to enter Big Bear Valley. Guests booking a stay in the winter should be prepared for the possibility of tire chains being necessary to travel to Big Bear. This requirement is enforced by city officials and law enforcement. We recommend arriving before dark; guests arriving late during the winter months may encounter icy roads and long delays.

This was a quiet and private area - greatly appreciate it; the Bearytale theme is cute and carried throughout the home. The cabin was superficially clean. We are coffee drinkers and appreciated the keurig and coffee pot - however the keurig had water left in there from I don't know when - and there were particles/material, which we then didn't use. The coffee pot also was very cloudy and not cleaned well. The lighting in the house - the one living room standing light did not stay on, the light switch was broken; the outside porch lites needed bulbs to be changed- not working; 2 of the kitchen chandelier light bulbs were out -so making the rooms even dark. the desk lamp upstairs had no lightbulb. While these were little inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay anyway.
