The place is much better in person than in the pictures. Great location just a short walk to the lake and quick drive to markets and stores. It is great for a family and the kids absolutely loved it.
My family enjoyed out stay at this cozy cabin. The pet friendly accommodations were crucial for us and this cabin was perfect. My fur babies loved exploring the back yard. We would love to return in the summer.
Very pleasant experience. My only caution is that the top floor might be a little cramped for someone much above 6 feet tall, but overall this place was terrific and very well managed.
We had a great time. The cabin is very comfy and cozy. Lots of room to hang out around the fireplace and keep warm. Stairs are a little steep so we had to be extra cautious with kids. Overall great experience and we would stay there again.
It was a very nice cabin with lots of character. I would have given it a five out of five but it was lacking in dish ware and glassware. I also found a dead cockroach in the drawer underneath the oven. Overall it was a nice stay!

3 - Good
Hot tub panel is broken and it appears animals are leaving in it. House cleaner showed up at 10:59am being pushy
The property was nice and very clean. Our only issue was the outdoor fireplace was covered, and apparently, the hot tub was only for the owner's use. Thus the pics we saw sort of mislead us. That said, it is an excellent place close to everything, and we had a good time.
Location is a 10+. Boulder Bay is quiet, only a few minutes from town, and pretty low key, which is exactly why we enjoy that area so much. We were very pleased with the property, especially since there was a fenced-in yard. There were BBQ and charcoal grills, and plenty of room for our fur babies to roam. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of blankets for those chilly evenings. In addition, there were fans provided, which we greatly appreciated during the heat of the day. Looking forward to returning soon!

No so happy
Miss leading the stairs to the cabin were very difficult for my 80-year-old dad to climb and me at 50 and the cabin is so much smaller than we anticipated the pictures look like it’s a lot bigger miss leading was very unhappy
Cute cabin, 1st floor very cute second floor not so much. For starters, very dirty and if that’s not enough we had 2 dead rats( gross). 1 st floor had a heater in living room only. Bathroom was freezing, second floor had portable heaters that didn’t work only one, so we were freezing all night. For the amount of money we paid, I was expecting something more comfortable.
Overall the property and neighborhood were very nice. The home is charming but has it quarks, like the bathroom doors don’t lock and one doesn’t stay closed.
The game room had games in it, but was also used for storage.
The cabin had not been cleaned when we arrived and we waited an hour for a cleaning crew to arrive. We had to wait in the backyard while the cabin was cleaned. Unfortunately, we saw the cleaning staff refolding blankets and putting them out for use without washing them.
My experience was not great, it was a very busy New Years weekend, so others may have a more positive experience.
Property manager is very good - responsive and allowed me to change weekends due to a work conflict. Place was very clean when we got there. Give Cool Cabins 5 stars.
The cabin itself is a bit ramshackle. Its a little rundown as others have noted.
We have a small dog and specifically got this place due to being dog friendly and it is, sort of. Yard is fenced, but all dirt. There were tools, shovels, pipe, and old hammock, and some rebar sticking up in places. Inside there were mouse traps and ant traps on the floor which our pouch immediately discovered.
You have to enter the house via the back door as the keys dont work on the front door and you dont get the number pad code for the front door lock. If it were raining or snow slush you would've to walk through the mud each time you get back. The front door also sticks on the floor severely when you open it to go out.
Patio furniture is weatherbeaten and rough wood. One chair completely falling apart with nails sticking out where the back was disconnected. The patio gates on the porch are poorly built and hard to open/close/latch.
I am honestly surprised the cabin has as high of ratings as it does. It is a borderline 2 star except that it was clean and everything we used pretty much worked.
Cabin is cute, but dated. The fenced in yard is great if you’re bringing your dogs with you. Would really only recommend to couples, since the stairs might be a bit steep for kids and it’s overall a small cabin.
Loved the location! Many trees around and the distance to the Village was really close. Cabin was very cozy and clean. The lighting was very dim but it just made it feel very relaxed
nice neighborhood!
it is a small two-story house. If you will spend most of your time outside, it is a good choice. However, if you want to stay at the house, I think it is too small, especially with children or pets.
