The room did not have hot water so a shower was not had in the morning. I let it run for 5 minutes. That's pretty sad. It had a coffee machine but nothing to make coffee. Was i expected to bring my own. No kind of shampoo. Won't stay here again

This was the dirtiest hotel. I've been in a long time. The staff was one guy and he was nowhere to be found. In fact, he downgraded my room but wanted to charge me more. The rooms have no air conditioning, and it was 90 degress in the rooms. I asked to cancel my extra day because my parents were with me. And they were about to have a heat stroke. He said no. They don't do refunds. He was very rude. We didn't have any towels in our room. There is beer bottles and trash all over the patio. And we saw bed bugs and cockroaches. I don't see how I don't get it. Refund this place is horrible

Overall pretty dirty. They don't clean the rooms well enough. But if you're there to just stay to go skiing or whatever and you don't mind it's no big deal. The TV screen had all kinds of grease on it or something. Definitely needs better cleaning but once they figure that out it's okay

I recommend to book somewhere else. The room was DIRTY. The floors in the bathroom and room had hair, it seemed like they didn’t sweep or mop at all. The sheets also seemed like they weren’t changed as they also had hair on them. The beds were also missing the sheet that goes over the mattress protector. There was a used bandaid (with blood) on the sink. Again it didn't seem like they cleaned. The grass outside was overgrown and did not look like the photos. There was no AC which was unbearable with the heat in the summer.

The "beach front" description is not at all what you think it is. Technically, if there's sand, I guess it's a beach - but it is not a beach you can actually use. It was completely overgrown with weeds& you cannot go in the water. It's too dirty & mirky here even if you could. This lodge does not have any AC or heating. We stayed in #7. I had to ask for a fan, which they provided but it was an old dusty loud box fan. The TV had a vertical pixel issue which distorted the screen. The bed is extremely low on a very thin mattress, I literally felt the springs dig into my hips & I had to ask for different pillows because they were just way too flat. Also, this room is by the stairs & you hear every single step. Not enough towels, only 1 washcloth & hand towel, no floor towel. There is a coffee maker but no coffee. The "free on the go breakfast" is actually just coffee (no creamer or sweetener provided), granola bars, apples & oatmeal (no hot water provided). I also got triple charged - my purchase through Expedia & also twice by the lodge. I had to go back & ask them for a refund. The best thing about this place was the dock - the only spot we could actually lay down & watch the stars. We planned on BBQ but there were no acceptable grill tools & the grate itself was disgusting.

The Lodge is withing walking distance to Big Bear Village, convenience stores, restaurants and more. Great service from staff. The room I reserved was breakfast included. In the morning my wife and I went to see where they were serving the breakfast, and there was no breakfast. All they had was grab and go. It was very disappointed and upsetting because in my reservation breakfast was included. It is scam to advertise this lodge as a breakfast included when is not'

No one was there at 9pm for our arrival/check in, when their office hour say they are there until 10pm. No where on Expedia did it have a place to add your animals. They demanded we sent a picture of our credit card to pay the animal deposit and refused to give us the key until we did. Our room smelled musty, there was no AC and my "lake view" room was on the bottom floor and had a great view of the parking lot.... We didn't even unload our car; we left and the fact that won't even refund our credit card the charge for dogs that didn't even step foot in that room is criminal. I would not stay there unless you don't mind musty smell, no view, and no AC in the middle of August...

We didn’t end up staying the whole night. The bathroom badly needs to be updated and the room was hot, muggy, and very uncomfortable. It made it impossible to sleep and we ended up heading home around midnight.

This place is terrible. The pictures do NOT match the property. There is NO playground. There is a dock but it is covered in duck/bird poop and spiderwebs. The water surrounding the dock and beyond looks more like a swamp. The sandy beach area is covered in weeds. Our room was filthy. Bugs killed on walls and ceiling. They ran out of toilet paper so we had to buy our own!!!! There is NO air conditioning even though when I booked it said there was. And of course the week we booked, Bug Bear experienced a heat wave which made this place even more unbearable. I was so upset and of course management was not responsive and front desk refused to provide a refund so we could go elsewhere.

There were no window curtains, and the stairs were right outside the window, so anyone walking there could look inside and see us. I called the manager to change rooms, and he said every room is like that! So he didn’t change our room. Later when I was in the parking lot, I could see the other rooms had window curtains! So did he straight up lie to me??? …. And those rooms were available! Why didn’t he offer to change rooms for us? I have no idea. Also, there was no AC (summer with 90 degree heat) and this was not advertised. So you have to keep the windows open and a fan running, and the exhaust from the parking lot pours in because it is right outside the window... The coffee maker was also filthy and the coffee mugs still had residue on the lip area from the last user. Oh but the lake view is nice
