  • Home located in downtown Big Bay across from Draver Park. Home was built in 1926 as a school house, located on a large private 1+ acre lot. Plenty of room for vehicles, trailers and campers. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ATV riding, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, and so much more awaits you. Thunder Bay Inn, Big Bay Lighthouse, Lumberjack Bar, Bay Cliff Health Camp, Huron Mountains, Perkins State Park, Thomas Rock, several trails, rivers and waterfalls to explore. Big Bay is 25 miles from Marquette, MI, only a 30 minute drive along County Road 550. Very nice and clean place looking forward to coming back next year also there is plenty of parking nice large driveway. It was more than what we expected!! Great little town as well. Great trails for riding UTV's.

Visting the Yellow Dog river

Clean cottage,very quiet location, within minutes of a beach at lake Superior and trailhead to the Yellow Dog river in the McCormick wilderness.

Big bay getaway- great house!

We have a large family that visits near this listing that won’t fit our extended family of 13. My family of four stayed here for a week and it was great! Clean, well stocked and very communicative. Couldn’t have asked for a better place

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed this peaceful home! It was the perfect size for two adults and one toddler. There were family games to play along with a good sized yard to have fun in. There were several personal touches that made our arrival and stay very pleasant.

Cottage was well appointed and tastefully decorated. It was a wonderful place for some northern Michigan peace and quiet. Marquette as near by for great restaurants and entertainment.

Big Bay Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Big Bay. The home was very clean, cozy and stocked with everything needed for a wonderful vacation. The host was quick to answer questions and also very friendly. I'm hoping we can make it back to this vacation home again soon!

Great fall getaway in Big Bay

We loved our stay in Big Bay- the house was clean, in a good location, and was exactly as listed. This property is close to so many hiking trails and places to explore. We really appreciated the small touches in the house- brochures and info about the surrounding area, books about northern Michigan, and a kitchen well-equipped to cook in. We hope to stay there again sometime in the future!

A wonderful stay!

We had such a great time staying in downtown Big Bay at this cozy and convenient property. We had everything we could have needed or wanted including Caribou Coffee! (Minnesotans love our Caribou :) ) The location was perfect and quiet, the home was clean and spacious. Having a great space to stay made our trip that much better and more enjoyable.

Great weekend in Big Bay

We had a great weekend with family in the area. The location of the house was ideal, it’s in town but has a wooded rural setting. The town walking trails are a short walk from the house and it was fun just walking around town checking out the local history. We also found some deals at the church bazaar in town. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean.

Another great stay in Big Bay!

This was my second trip staying at this home. The host is very responsive and pleasant to work with. The home is clean, cozy and is stocked with small amenities such as spices, antibiotic ointment, bug spray and recreation maps of the area. I visit Big Bay multiple times a year this is now the first place I check for availability!

Perfect little house

Group of 4 guys stayed for a fishing trip. There are only 3 beds, but the hosts graciously offered to bring a rollaway in for us. Owners were very prompt and helpful with any issues we had. Nice clean place

The perfect house for a UP vacation!

This little house was perfect for our vacation. Everything was as we'd hoped it would be. The full kitchen is well stocked, making meals as easy as could be. The washer and dryer, extra supplies, air conditioning, and wifi were all very appreciated. Beds were comfortable, smart TV whandy, and check in was a breeze. We will definitely stay again, next time we're in the area.

Cozy cottage

This property was exactly as advertised. It was super clean and had lots of extra touches, my husband especially like the candy bowl. In addition to the candy bowl there was a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of bathroom towels and the beds were firm and super comfy. Highly recommend!

Weeklong Getaway in the Big Bay

Overall we had an enjoyable stay. The home was immaculately clean and well kept and the beds were very comfortable. The only issue we had was the loose cold water knob in the shower but it was not unusable, just made adjusting the water temperature difficult. We would stay here again if planning to see Marquette or hiking in the surrounding area.

Pictures don't do the house justice, so much more room than we thought! Everything was very clean, location was perfect for the fishing tournament and plenty of plowed space in the driveway for our trailer and machines. House was cozy and warm, however heat was only in the communal space so bedrooms would get a little chilly if the doors were shut at night but it wasn't a big deal. Kitchen was well stocked and the extra towels, soaps, toothpaste, etc were a nice touch! Shower knobs were difficult to navigate but we figured it out eventually and we never ran out of hot water. Overall it was a great place! We would stay here again!
