Positioned in an enviable and sought-after location in the popular village of Instow, this first-floor apartment boasts spectacular views over the Tarka Trail and out to the estuary beyond. Perfect for a family-friendly holiday to North Devon, this apartment is a brilliant base to return to and relax in style after days out on the village’s sandy beach.
The interior of the apartment has been decorated tastefully, with comfortable furnishings and coastal hues of blue to complement the waterside location. There is ample space to relax and enjoy a meal or a drink after an active day on the water. A spacious entry hall leads to a kitchen and open-plan lounge and dining area which together create a fantastic social space for relaxing all together. Enjoy a meal made with local produce from the deli in the village, before retiring to the lounge area to relax and enjoy the estuary views. From the lounge, French doors give access to the balcony – the best place to soak up the pretty vistas over the river and towards the village of Appledore. When the day is done, choose from two cosy and comfortable bedrooms – a double and a twin – both sharing a family shower room.
The apartment overlooks the Tarka Trail, a flat, traffic-free footpath which is perfect for cyclists, runners and those who enjoy a long and scenic walk; follow it along the river south to Bideford (3 miles) or north to Barnstaple (6 miles). For days out closer to home, there is plenty to see and do in this charming waterside village, with a great choice of local bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from, all within half a mile. The beach (300 metres) is incredibly popular with dog walkers, with pretty boats lining the shores and tall sand dunes fringing the sands. Or, take the foot ferry (300 metres) over the river to Appledore for a day exploring the many galleries, cafes and winding streets of this pretty fishing village.
