Get a room far from the open stairwell, as noise is channeled from the ground floor front desk and restaurant directly up the stairwell to the guest room floors. The whir of my room's ceiling fan masked some corridor noise, thankfully. A door and carpet in the corridors would reduce the noise. My rudimentary room had no closet, no luggage rack, and there...
