Holiday Inn Express Hull City Centre by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Another great stay. Staff very friendly and professional, convenient parking, great breakfast options, rooms clean and quiet. Great location for our needs"

Ibis Hull City Centre
2/10 Terrible
"Checked in for 1night as we travelled to attend a family funeral, upon entering the room the curtain was shut and the smell of mould of very overpowering. Opened the curtain to be greeted with alot of black mould all over the window the curtain and underneath the table, i spoke to staff on reception about this as my partner has chronic asthma and they moved us rooms very helpful. We moved rooms and went straight out to eat as we had been travelling all day, we went back to the room later on to notice this room also had mould in a broken window lock and a broken table, body hair left in shower! Spoke to the main desk again and they offered us a new ropm it was 11.30pm and we had to be up crack of dawn for a funeral! I saod no the room will do for 1 night as we were so tired, during the night it was so noisy people shouting. Spoke with the manager the next morning and was given a full refund as 2 rooms were disgusting. Staff were helpful but hotel is outdated and mouldy, pictures do not match reality it was like a place they house ex cons!"

Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort
10/10 Excellent
"A really friendly greeting at reception, with helpful guidance. The room was of a very high standard, clean and fresh, with a good supply of tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Beds were comfy, only niggle was that the extra pillows provided were really lumpy.
Extremely helpful staff in the breakfast room, very courteous and friendly.There was a good selection of hot food for breakfast, and a lovely selection of fruit, sweet melon slices and fresh fruit salad.
We had taken our dogs, and one little warning for other dog owners is that the grassy, wooded area for walking dogs has a lot of deer ticks, so good idea to check dogs after walking.
We enjoyed our stay and the use of the pool.

"We booked last minute so didn’t receive the WhatsApp message with the details for our room. When we called we spoke to a very helpful lady who sent us the details in an email as their WhatsApp wasn’t working. We went to the room but the code failed to open the key safe so had to call again. The lady apologised as all the codes had recently changed so sent a new code which finally worked. The card didn’t work when we got back to the room at 10:30 so we had to call again and was given details to access cards which did allow us in. We had stayed here when it was a Best Weatern and it has been cleaned up a lot so the only down side was the key safes!"

Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel

"Good breakfast. Stayed in the family room which was very large.
Pool area is very poor unfortunately. Lots of missing tiles on the bottom of the pool is quite dangerous. A child from another family cut his foot whilst walking on the pool.
Restaurant OK.
If you need somewhere to stay for a hundred quid or less, then this place is fine. Don’t expect anything fancy though. It must just be clinging to the 4 star rating, felt very much like a 3 star."

"Plus points;
- Fantastic location for exploring Beverley
- The room was large, bright and airy.
- Bathroom had been recently renovated
- Handy car park, albeit very small.
Negatives;
- One window wouldn't open at all and the other would open but were too heavy for the locks so wouldnt stay open.
- Items like the wardrobe, desk and bedside tables had dust on them.
- The neighbouring rooms tv was on the wall so we could hear every word, which theu watched until gone midnight, we prefer to be asleep by 10am.
- The curtains didn't keep the light out and being on the front meant lots of light flooded in.
- Not the fault of the hotel but there is a lot of work going on in the market square immediately outside which started at 7.30/8 each morning.
- The breakfast was woefully underpar. Boring, bland and poor quality ingredients. The second morning we opted for the continental which again was boring and bland. "
