"Where to start, it was cheaper than most places in Newcastle but still wasn't worth what we paid. No air-conditioning, the kitchen drain smelled terrible, the toilet leaked, there were toenails in the bathroom, originally put in a two bedded room when there was 3 of us, very hot stuffy room, unable to open window properly as there was a chain lock preventing us. "Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"Inside property was clean but hallway was not so much due to seagulls and others, host could have been a bit quicker at responding. Location was very good though parking in front of property was based on first come first served but there was parking on the street which you had to pay for from 9am to 5:30pm. Bed was comfortable sofa was a two seater and very uncomfortable and wobbly. Luckily we didn’t have to spend too much time sitting on it as the tv didn’t work for the last day and a half."
