Milhouse is a charming country retreat set on 3.5 acres, just 1.5km from the heart of Berry. Blending a 120-year-old farmhouse with a modern accommodation wing, the property comfortably sleeps up to 19 guests (maximum 14 adults) across eight bedrooms and six bathrooms. Five bedrooms include ensuites and private sitting areas, offering added comfort and privacy.
Designed for relaxed group stays, the home features spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, a commercial kitchen, and established gardens.
Outside, guests can enjoy a swimming pool, tennis court (tennis racquets and balls not supplied), fire pit, and pizza oven, along with a herb and vegetable garden for guest use. With ample parking and beautifully maintained grounds, Milhouse is ideal for family gatherings or a countryside escape.

- Milhouse has unfenced ponds and a running creek in its grounds, so please take great care with young children. - Milhouse does not host weddings, however is a perfect option for wedding guest accommodation. - Strictly no parties at this property – please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.

Milhouse is located approximately 1.5km from Berry, taking 2 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot. Seven Mile Beach is a 10 minute drive away.
Why choose Milhouse?
In the past, Milhouse was run as a traditional bed and breakfast. The property has been beautifully restored by new owners and is now rented as a large, single residence - perfect for a family gathering, corporate retreat, or a getaway for friends. The property has ample indoor / outdoor living spaces, and 5 out of 8 bedrooms enjoy ensuites and sitting areas, meaning that guests can enjoy more privacy than in a typical holiday rental. The picturesque town of Berry with its popular shops, cafes and restaurants is only a short drive away, as is Seven Mile Beach. Or if you stay at "home" you will be well catered for with a swimming pool, tennis court, games room, fire pit, vegetable garden, and beautiful grounds to explore.
How is the property laid out?
The main entrance takes you into a foyer area. Directly ahead you will see the outdoor terrace, complete with large outdoor dining setting. Turning left will take you into the original farmhouse, consisting of 2 bedrooms, a snug TV room, and a bathroom. Turning right takes you into the modern extension. The heart of the building is the large living, dining and kitchen area. A long hallway leads to 6 additional bedrooms. The house is serviced by a semi-commercial grade kitchen, complete with walk in coolroom. A separate freezer is located in the laundry. There are 5 en-suite bathrooms, and a guest toilet adjacent to the kitchen and main living room. The pizza oven and additional BBQ are located in the gardens, as part of the pool cabana.
Security at Milhouse
Please note that given the quality and nature of the Milhouse, there are several external cameras set up on the property for security and to monitor guest numbers. There are no internal cameras. The cameras do not have a live feed, however can be referred to if there are any issues that need further investigation.
Wi-Fi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?
This property provides complimentary Wi-Fi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. There is a smart tv in the living room so you can stream your favourite shows.
Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Milhouse is set on 3.5 acres. There are extensive gardens which include a swimming pool, full sized tennis court and fire pit. There is a large outdoor patio with a gas BBQ and large outdoor setting. There is also a large vegetable & herb garden that guests are welcome to help themselves to. The pizza oven and additional BBQ are located in the gardens, as part of the pool cabana.
Please note - there is an unfenced creek and garden ponds on the property so young children must be supervised at all times.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
There is a wood burning fireplace in the open plan living and dining room. An adequate supply of firewood will be provided for the fireplace and outdoor fire pits. Thereafter, guests will be required to purchase additional firewood in Berry town.
The living area and all bedrooms except bedroom 8 have ceiling fans. There is air conditioning in most rooms.
The swimming pool is not heated.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
High quality sheets and towels are provided at Milhouse. Please bring your own beach towels.
Parking for cars, boats etc.?
There is parking available for 7 cars in the car park near the front door. An additional 10 vehicles and trailers can be parked in the empty paddock on the other side of the tennis court.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property - Easter: 4 nights - Long Weekends: 3 nights - All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

A perfect family accommodation choice with pool, tennis court, beautiful gardens and bedrooms.
We loved the Milhouse from the moment we arrived. It was just the most beautiful spacious home for a large extended family, with vast and beautifully cared for, indoor and outdoor spaces - something for everyone from the youngest granddaughter, just 5 years old, to the 90 year old goat granny. The grounds were beautifully maintained with a very child friendly pool and tennis court, rambling gardens and lawns, and perfect indoor and outdoor dining options for family dining and the formal 70th birthday dinner. The kitchen was perfect for the chefs who came to cater for the dinner.
I organised a large Woolworths delivery on the first afternoon, which was easily stored in the large cool room, and a full size freezer as well. The bedrooms were well spread out and with tasteful, stylish, and cosy spaces, and luxurious beds and linen.
Excellent stay for a large family celebration . Property was perfect in and out with spacious dining areas, bedrooms , bathrooms , tennis court, outside fire pit and BBQ areas . Have passed on this property link to many friends .
We loved our stay at Milhouse. There for a family birthday, so had small kids and oldies. The place was clean, kitchen kitted out and lots of space for chilling out both inside and out. Tennis court is in excellent condition and yard super large. Great having a bathroom in most bedrooms. Sofa was good for the kids but a squeeze for multiple adults. Overall a great time was had!
Excellent weekend away ! The Milhouse was a beautiful home - old cottage charm with views of local farms and rolling hills, an easy walk into Berry, definitely recommend & where I would return again. The property is well presented and beautifully styled, the industrial kitchen was a real treat, the main dining/ living area is stunning with central fire place all bedrooms spacious. Great property for an extended family stay.
This is a truly great country homestead. We had a group of 7 couples stay for two nights for a 60th birthday weekend. Unfortunately most of our weekend was rainy and cool but the house coped very well with the conditions. The highlights of the property include a great central living area with open fireplace, dining table seating 14 and well appointed semi-commercial kitchen with a very large walk in cool room, 5 superb onsuite double bedrooms in the new wing, and 2 superb double bedrooms which share a lovely older style bathroom in the original cottage wing. There is a beautiful outside courtyard with another large table seating 14 which also has a good sized BBQ. While we couldn’t use the tennis court or pool due to the wet weather, they looked good. The property has lovely gardens that surround the house and a convenient 7 car parking area. There is also a veggie garden, but when we were there it needed a fair bit of work. While there is an old garage that has had a table tennis table and dart board installed, it’s not the most attractive part of the property. There is a dedicated room with TV but it’s a bit small. Overall the property would greatly benefit from having a larger area with pool table and TV and lounge IMO. The property is adjacent to Woodhill Mountain Rd so there is some road noise in the two bedrooms in the original cottage wing, as they are closer to the road, but the other 5 onsuite bedrooms are further away so are quieter. We had DANDELION & MALLOW cater for our Saturday dinner. Highly recommended. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
