There is a common laundry room on the main floor. To use the washer and dryer, you'll download the WeWash app. Instructions, laundry pods, baskets, drying rack, iron, ironing board are also provided for your convenience. (Chf 8/load/machine)

We loved staying in this beautiful apartment in Bern. From the moment you reach the front door and open the apartment it blows you away with how lovely it is. Very well located, in a great city. We used it as a base to explore many locations in Switzerland and it was so convenient. The hosts were also really helpful at all times. Thank you for a great stay!

Another great stay in Bern!

This is our second time staying at a Rob and Sarah property. It's so comfortable it feels like home. It's wonderful to have everything Bern has to offer right outside the door.

Family Holiday

Absolutely the best location if you want to be surrounded by activity and in a gorgeous, historical setting!!! But quiet for as much activity is going on outside. The apartment is comfortable, very clean and kitchen adequately stocked. Rob and Sara were very gracious and helpful hosts and very quick to respond. Would stay here again without hesitation!!!

Great spot

We enjoyed our time at Rob and Sarah’s apartment. Right off the Zytglogge tram stop in the heart of Bern. Apartment was spacious and clean. Note it is on the 2nd floor (3rd floor to Americans) up a spiral staircase- no elevator.

Amazing Apartment

A true gem - an historic home right in the city center. We felt like long time residents. Everything was close, market, restaurants, shops. Rob and Sara are wonderful, and very attentive to the details of our stay. We can't wait to go back.

Bern Getaway

The apartment was terrific and centrally located to all of the sites of Bern/train station. Rob and Sara were a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend renting this apartment!!!

Beautiful Bern

We enjoyed our time in Bern-- and the location the apartment made our time even more enjoyable. The set up is a little different-- with the bedroom/living room on one side of the hall and bathroom/kitchen on the other side. The apartment was very comfortable, and being located in the Old Town-- provided easy access to the sites. Todd

A special place in Bern

We loved our ten-days-stay in this beautiful apartment that quickly felt like home for us! The location is unbeatable, close to the central station, in the middle of old town, Bärengraben, Zytglogge, theatre, … all within walking distance. And living in the old rooms feels like time travelling. Sara and Rob have been super friendly and the perfect hosts!

We loved the accessibility to the historical center of the city, The accommodations were very clean and well-equipped. Our host was very helpful with providing information about taking local trains. We would have happily avoided calling her if this travel information had been available in a binder in the apartment. Overall, it was a unique kind of space that we would return to.

Fabulous old town stay

Loved it all... the apartment itself, the location, Bern, and surrounding area. A fantastic base for a holiday. The apartment has loads of character, and is very well equipped. We knew that Rob and Sara were contactable if needed, but this was not needed as everything well explained and straight forward. Easy access to shops, cafes and restaurants, galleries, and stunning views. Transport easy from airport, plus access to train station, and using local transport within Bern area. You can use your Bern pass (code will be provided for setting this up) to get from train station to apartment (just a couple of stops on no.12 towards the Zentrum - not particulary far but helpful if you have luggage. Would absolutely go back to same place and repeat it all again!

Outstanding apartment

Outstanding apartment with absolutely unique interior, especially the oven from the 18. century. Located in the heart of the city, absolutely quiet at night. Very well equipped kitchen. Access uncomplicated. Highly recommendable. Comes with free public transport in Bern.

Historic property in the perfect locatio

It's really cool to stay in this 500 year old property in the middle of the medieval old town. Big windows let in light and the music from buskers. Step outside to the wonderful arcades filled with shops, restaurants, and artisans. One block to the clock. Walking distance to all the museums. Market right out the front door on Saturday. Great bakery next door. We used the modern kitchen a lot, and took advantage of the great neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Quirky, lovely place

This is a lovely apartment in a charming part of Bern. Everything about the place is well-documented and easy to navigate. Very clean; hosts were communicative; we enjoyed our stay and would book again. The bathroom and kitchen are across the hall from the main living quarters, and the whole place is on the 2nd floor (no lift) -- so not for those who might have trouble with stairs or need easy access to the kitchen/bathroom at night. There is a luggage/laundry room on the main floor. Being able to stow luggage (like skis) is very convenient--but you need an app to use the laundry and it is 20 Swiss francs to do a load (!), so don't plan on using the laundry facilities. Bern is a world-class city and this is a charming place to stay while exploring it.

Wonderful Location in Historic Heart of Bern

My husband and I spent 4 nights in this apartment in early May. The apartment is as described by others. It is on a quiet side street (across from a library!) one block from the main shopping street. It is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The pre check-in instructions were clear. I had a question for the host that was answered promptly via email. There is a need to traverse a circular stairway up 2 flights to get to the 2nd floor apartment. It is a restful apartment that is comfortably furnished. It appears to be in a very old structure. The kitchen and bathroom are down a 12 foot hallway from the living room and bedroom. I only encountered one other occupant in this hallway the entire 4 days. I highly recommend this apartment for those without mobility problems and with light luggage who do not mind the minor inconvenience of walking down the hall to the other half of the apartment.

Cultural Immersion

I cannot say enough good things about my stay in Bern. We stayed one full week and this apartment was exactly what we were looking for. We were able to immerse ourselves in the Bern culture. We ate fresh pastries from the bakery that is two doors down every morning. We had dinner on the sidewalk side by side with the locals every evening. You can see people chatting on benches on the sidewalk eating a sandwich and drinking a beer on their lunch break.There is lots to see and do in the area and we felt safe and secure during our visit. There is even a park within walking distance where people walk on slack lines over the river and practice juggling. I asked someone if the circus was in town, but they said that is just a normal lazy sunny afternoon in Bern!Sara and Rob are perfect hosts. They are there, but not in your face. They are very responsive if you need anything and will give great recommendations if you have questions about the area.Our stay was perfect and I highly recommend this apartment to anyone that wants to experience Bern.

Lovely apartment right in Old Town

This was the best VRBO we stayed in during our three weeks in Europe! It's absolutely stunning! Rob and Sara have put a lot of time and thought into making this a very comfortable and homey apartment while maintaining the feel of "old style" Europe. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook in--lots of dishes, silverware, pans, spices, a few staples, and even a dishwasher. There's a great coffee machine with complete instructions. The bed is very comfortable and there's plenty of closets and drawers. We like that it was right in the heart of Old Town, so we did a lot of walking and exploring Berne. On Saturday, there was a market in the street right below our windows so we felt just like a local when we wandered through it. When I say that Rob and Sara have thought of everything, I mean they truly have! They are also great communicators if you need anything. I would highly recommend their place and we will stay there again someday.

Perfect spot in Beautiful Bern

My daughter and I loved our apartment in Bern. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It is centrally located and easy to get everywhere, with shopping, coffee shops, trams outside the front door. You hear the famous clock at night! Rob and Sara were easily contacted but we didn’t really need anything. My daughter and I will miss the Sat/Tues farmers markets on the street below, and miss grocery shopping at COOP! The best fresh food in a grocery I have ever had. The apartment we stayed in had the bathroom and kitchen across the hall. It is NOT shared with any other visitors- there is only one apartment above the one we stayed in- and we never met anyone in the stairwell crossing the hallway. In truth, you are renting the whole floor, with a shared stairwell for a single apartment upstairs. I am looking forward to returning!!!!! Thank you Rob and Sara for a lovely stay. Oh- and I can’t forget the lovely smell of baking bread each morning from the bakery on the street level. I also loved staying in Bern bc it was a good home base for touring the area. We went to Aare Gorge/Grindelwald, Lucerne, Lausanne, And Geneva all by day trips on the train - easy! There is So Much to do on that side of the country.

Amazing Apartment

I stayed here for 5 nights in October and it is one of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed at. The apartment is spacious, immaculate and you can really stretch out and feel like you are living in Old Town Bern. The location is centrally located and spectacular. It's an easy 10 minute walk from the main train station. You are in the heart of Old Town and the church bells ringing are enchanting. Plus the farmers' market on Saturday was out front on the street and stretched for several blocks. Such fun! Rob and Sara are incredibly responsive to any questions. I think the longest it took to hear back from them was about 4 minutes once. They provide very clear instructions on how things work in the apartment. The kitchen is nicely stocked with some basic ingredients, like spices and oils and vinegar, etc which is a real plus if you want to do any cooking. And the coffee machine makes the perfect espresso! The set up of the apartment is different than North American style as the kitchen and bathroom are across the central staircase. At first I thought this would be awkward and that I might run into another guest but that doesn't happen because the other guests are on a different floor. You might hear them below you in the hallway but you don't see them. Honestly the set up is a big nothing burger. I would definitely stay here again if I am back to Bern and I will certainly recommend it to any friends who are travelling there.

What an incredible property! The hosts are amazing and strive to create a 5 star experience for their guests achieving the goal easily.
