We stayed at Belle Epoque hotel, while visiting Bern. Location is great, close to all attractions, train station. The place is clean and comfortable, staff is friendly. I would skip the breakfast, a lot of nice cafes in the area for breakfast. We liked the place and would stay there again. Strongly recommended

I stayed in the single room which is the very top floor of the hotel. The room was clean and had everything I needed but because of the heat my stay was very unpleasant, unfortunately. There are only sky lights in the room, which dont open apart from a small vent. The heat was unbearable and I barely slept. There were two fans provided to me but because of how hot it was, they didn’t accomplish much. Maybe the other rooms with working windows cooled down more. My suggestion would be not to book this single room in the summer.

The staff were excellent, both helpful and efficient. Unfortunately we arrived during a heatwave and the hotel clearly isn’t geared for hot weather. To be fair, they had put a fan in the room, but it was of little use. The worst thing was the mattress toppers on the bed. I think they are made of sponge and absorb body heat, therefore you get hotter the longer you lie on them.

Traveling from Zurich to Paris by train and stayed in Bern. Distance from train station was a bit far by foot but public metro is always an option. Area was amazing, old world buildings and extremely close to river. Directly in the heart of Bern. Would stay again.

Spent a few days exploring this part of Switzerland, this is a nice hotel on the edge of town. Older hotel so the rooms are a nice size. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only comment I have is that a few more plug sockets would help!

The hotel itself was beautiful, the room was perfect with comfortable beds, a clean room and a nice bathroom. Our hotel window overlooked the main road, which had no cars on it so it was nice and quiet. Just around the hotel were wonderful restaurants, a five minute walk to the bear pit and just down the road from the rose garden where we went to see the sunset. we ate at a Thai restaurant next-door and then went for fondue just up the road. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating and overall we had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel and recommend it highly.

Great service, perfect location for walking to all of the sights and shopping or hopping on a bus across the street. Beautiful property, comfy beds! My only note is that it is HOT in the summer — I stayed on the top floor and there was no AC, just fans, so I was very sweaty. I think that is typical for Europe, though. Would definitely come back, but probably book a room on a lower floor.

Great location in the heart of Old Town. Nice big room, clean, with comfortable beds. We were a late arrival so had to let ourselves in. Instructions sent prior were very easy to follow, but it was a bit strange as everything was dark when we entered. Also had an issue connecting to wifi, as we were unable to receive SMS message with access code. Had to ask at reception next morning and they gave us the code - not sure why they don’t just provide it? Other than that, we had a nice visit.
