Excellent location with good amenities. The women on staff were friendly and helpful (thanks Sam and Nora and many others); the men, less so. Maintenance is the real problem. Our first room's door wouldn't lock from the outside, so we were upgraded — but the new room had a faulty AC, a toilet that wouldn't flush properly, and one elevator was out. The bedding and carpets need a full overhaul. I wanted to rate this hotel higher in recognition of good staff and service, but for a 4-star hotel, the basics should work.

Ich hatte ein genügend großes Einzelzimmer mit gutem Bett, in freundlichen Farben gestrichen und großen Fenstern mit guter Verdunkelung. Das Frühstück (im Preis inbegriffen) war lecker und vielfältig und das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war klasse, ein paar hundert Meter zum Bahnhof Zoo, der Ku‘Damm direkt vor der Nase, der wunderschöne Berliner Zoo fussläufig erreichbar oder mit dem Bus 100, der am Bahnhof Zoo startet und praktisch an allen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten anhält. Auch das KaDeWe ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar, der Breitscheidplatz mit der Gedächtniskirche und der Bikinimall gleich um die Ecke. Außerdem ein riesiger Supermarkt, der Ulrich Hit Markt, gegenüber dem Bahnhof Zoo. Sehr negativ waren der uralte Teppichboden, die ebenfalls uralte Toilette, in die man besser nicht reingucken sollte, der Fernseher mit ganz miserablem Empfang sowie die permanent laufende, extrem laute Lüftung. Ohne Ohrenschutz war an Schlafen nicht zu denken. Es war allerdings nicht das erste Hotel, in dem Einzelreisende stiefmütterlich bezüglich der Zimmer behandelt werden. Fazit: Mit einem besseren Zimmer würde ich hier wieder absteigen.

Tolles Hotel in sehr zentraler Lage. Exzellentes und sehr freundliches Personal. Das würde ich mir andernorts auch wünschen. Die Zimmer komfortabel und groß und das Frühstück ist spitze. Parken im Parkhaus nebenan easy und bezahlbar.

The staff here are great and were always helpful. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet! Rooms were nicely supplied and the staff kept them really well cleaned. The beds were very comfy and loved the pillows, etc. Our only suggestion - the carpet in this hotel is really tired and worn. Otherwise, good place to stay and great location - you can get anywhere easily.

Stayed for 3 nights, but unfortunately the air conditioning did not work throughout our stay. The room remained quite warm, making it difficult to sleep comfortably all three nights. We requested a fan on the second night and opened windows which helped somewhat, but the room was still too warm. Another inconvenience was that only one elevator was working at times, which resulted in long waits and lines. On a positive note, the staff was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay. I chose Hyatt because of its reputation for quality and service. Given that, I would expect the hotel to have adequate technical support or backup maintenance available to address critical issues such as air conditioning failures, even on weekends.

Das Zimmer war sauber und in Ordnung. Das Problem war das Frühstück. Check Out ist um 11 Uhr und um 10 Uhr war es beim Frühstück komplett voll. Einen Tisch konnten wir dann noch finden, aber es gab keine Tassen für den Kaffee und keine Gläser für Säfte. Dann war beides da. Aber der Kaffee und die Säfte (ohne aufgefüllt zu werden) leer. Dann gab es keine Teller, die Brötchen waren so gut wie alle vergriffen, nur noch eine Sorte. Salami und Käse war dann leer ohne nachgefüllt zu werden. Das hatte ich noch nie in einem Hotel gehabt. Sonst wird Mal nur zeitweise was leer und es wird sofort nachgefüllt, aber man hat gesehen, dass es einfach zu voll war und die Mitarbeiter nicht nachgekommen sind.
