very accessible from Hauptbahnhof Hamburg. The concert venues are within walking distance. This hotel is just on the edge of the Reeperbahn strip and is quiet. the Bus stops are very close to the front door.

Relaxed and friendly hotel

Very friendly (but unobtrusive) staff, a quiet and very clean room, a comfortable bed and a generous and relaxed breakfast made our stay a very pleasant one. We’ll definitely be returning. The Christmas display on the roof terrace made up for the grey skies!

Good hotel, nice staff.

The cleanliness of the hotel was fine. For breakfast, I recommend getting a coffee machine, not just pre-brewed long coffee. It is the same in the other hotels in Berlin.

Probably the cleanest hotel in this price bracket I've stayed in. Large room. Ample breakfast. Personally, I love this area but it's maybe not for everybody. Transport links to anywhere in the city and to the airport are great.

First and foremost the staff are awesome. It’s 24 hour concierge service so no need to worry about safety and they know a lot about Berlin and can point out sites including laundry and other sights on the spot. The hotel is on a street with great Indian, Viet, Thai and Turkish foods that are really good. With Hermanplatz down the road getting around the city is convenient

Old but good

Visited Berlin for a concert, so I wanted a cheap but relatively good hotel. The hotel has probably not been renovated since the late 80s, but everything was clean and functioning. The only big problem was the bed. It was big, but the matress was incredibly hard. I am a big heavy guy, and ai like a firm matress, but this was so hard that I couldn't sleep more than 4-5 hours before having to get up.

The hotel was very clean and the staff helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this hotel. The staff should be commended for their hospitality. The room could have done with air conditioning and a safe and fridge added but it was value for money. The cleaners were always smiling and did an excellent job. The reception staff were lovely to speak to and the breakfast arrangements were excellent. We’ll done Hotel Ludwig van Beethoven, you helped make our trip to Berlin wonderful.

Five minutes' walk to several nice Neukölln and Kreuzberg neighborhoods, right across from Hasenheide (big park), and five minutes to Ubahn Hermannplatz. My double room was generously sized and very 90s but in good shape. It looked out onto the courtyard, which was great at night but less great when the construction on the next block started at 7am. Oh well. There is big, colorful art throughout the place, which was fun. Breakfast was typical budget fare but fine. Breakfast room staff were great.
