Bonne localisation de l’appartement
L’appartement est bien situé, tout près d’une station de métro. Lit confortable. Quelques ajouts rendraient l’expérience de séjour plus agréable, par exemple un petit cahier expliquant le fonctionnement du four (pour les non-européens), un couteau de chef, des couteaux bien aiguisés et une deuxième coupe à vin. Autrement nous avons apprécié l’appartement, qu’on nous a permis de prendre plus tôt que prévu pour encaisser le décalage du voyage transatlantique. Merci beaucoup pour cela!

Erik was very helpful & communication was excellent. Apartment had a good sized verandah with a great view. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere and saw so much. Berlin is a beautiful city.

Check Point Charlie Pros and Cons
Pros. Right next to Check Point Charlie, great coffee and restaurants in the area, close to numerous public transit options (bus, subway etc), really safe keycard access (door and elevator) building on a quiet street, great communication and easy check-in. We had a few issues but they were quickly and professionally dealt with. Everything in the apartment as advertised - appliances, etc. Cons - while all as advertised, the apartment has seen better days. The shower riser was broken and the heads almost totally calcified, the chairs and sofa were very uncomfortable (but we didn’t really come to Berlin to hang out in the apartment), the wood floor is trashed (the uncomfortable sofa becomes a reasonably comfortable bed) and it wasn’t super clean. However the price and location were pretty good, and other than the shower and the tortuous seating we were mostly pleased.

Perfect place
Loved this cute apartment. It’s one block from Checkpoint Charlie, museums and restaurants. Check in and communication with the owners could not have been easier. Would love to come back and stay again as we would love more time in this beautiful, vibrant city. We recommend a lovely restaurant down the block Veli’s Restaurant. Very good variety of food including German. We enjoyed everything we ate there. When we come back we would love to stay here again.

Great Place
Location worked well for getting around, either on foot or by taxi/Uber/Bolt. Apartment had the necessities that I needed. They had a snafu when I arrived in that the unit hadn't yet been cleaned. It was promptly cleaned. I just ran to the grocery store while it was being cleaned. When you enter, the lock is a little tricky. Be sure and try it while Eric is there. I thought I was going to be sleeping in the hallway the first night but a neighbor kindly helped me. After that, I got the hang of it.

Wonderful Apartment with great view
Truly enjoyed the apartment. It is spacious, clean, and has an outdoor deck with a great view from the top floor of a well maintained and secure building. Around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie and near all other attractions, as well as many shops and restaurants. The only suggestions to make it even better would be a more comfortable couch and perhaps a smart TV.

Property was ideal for a couple's long weekend in Berlin with convenient access to historical sites. Nearby Italian and Vietnamese restaurants were excellent and grocery store close by for supplies. Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony each evening given the very warm, but dry, September weather during our stay.

Perfect place to enjoy Berlin
A wonderful apartment with lovely balcony & view over Mitte area. Ubahn right close by & easy walking to reach tourist spots. Plus have to recommend French restaurant Entrecôte directly across the road. For a special meal ‘way to go’.

Great Location and Safe, Clean Building
Erik and Allesandro are very responsive. Our flight arrived a bit late and' Erik waited for us in the apartment. We are so sorry that we did not have exact change for the tax. Erik spotted us 1 euro, thank you Erik. Please ensure you have exact change to provide on check in for the city tax so Erik doesn't have to spot you too, lol. Also, if there is an issue with the toilet flushing, check the water knobs on the left side of the shower. We did not touch them, but had this issue, and the owner quickly sent a very nice repairman to rectify the situation. Washer, dishwasher, and microwave were easy to figure out their use, and there was even a drying rack, which I like, since I seldom dry my clothes in the dryer. Recommend throwing out your recycle before you are ready to check out, so you know where the area in the garage is, before you are rushed if trying to catch transportation, etc. We called a taxi to take us to the train station and the taxi was there in less than five minutes. Note that there is Lidl store only a few blocks away, which is very inexpensive for all your needs. The coffee maker that was there when we visited in March 2023 was a normal, #4 cone-shaped filter maker, which I prefer to K Kups or Nespresso cups. The fold out futon in the living room is pretty comfortable, so no worries if you are not a couple and not sharing the bed. There is a nice little Italian restaurant around the corner (make a left out of the building and then the next left)

Great location, bright airy comfortable pad.
Just me and my son - I got the double bed he the pull down. Both comfortable. Loved balcony and big windows. Even in November we had no need of heating and windows ajar at night. Mostly ate out but all the facilities needed to dine in are there. Two gripes - a giant pair of speakers in the photos have no associated sound source of any kind. The other gripe is a ‘tired’ level of wear and tear on cupboards, the shower head holder and well worn floor at (excellent) balcony door/window. Good value but could benefit from some maintenance spend. Despite being warned we posted the key fob in the mailbox we were told, forgetting you need it to get out. Video surveillance delivered us but other residents arrived shortly as well.

Wonderful host and perfect location
We were in Berlin for only a short time but enjoyed every minute of it! Definitely want to return one day to take in more of the food, drink and amazing history of this beautiful city. Our apartment was perfectly situated for sightseeing and within walking distance to many places including the Holocaust Museum. Our host provided very good communication prior to our trip and we were even able to check in a day earlier due to flight changes. Thank you, Eric (sorry if I misspell your name) for meeting us at the apartment to check in and help us get settled. Security is very good at the building entrance and also the elevator to go to the apartment floor. We highly recommend staying at this apartment if you are looking to visit Berlin!

Fantastic location in Berlin!
The best things about this apartment - fantastic location close to many sites within walking distance. (Unter den Linden, museums, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenberg Gate, Reishstag and many excellent restaurants to suit every taste_A terrific bed - great after a long day of touring. A fabulous shower! And, it is in a very safe location in a nice building. We loved sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee, too. The living room furniture is not particularly comfortable and we mostly sat outside or in bed. But, if I have to choose between a comfortable bed or a comfortable couch, I will choose the bed every time. The caretaker who let us in was responsive to all our questions and a very lovely man.

We arrived to Berlin, unfortunately we were unable to check in as the service forgot we are arriving. The apartment was dirty with disgusting used bedding from the previous guests, dirty kitchen and rubbish everywhere. It was all smelling with cigarettes and sweat. We left the apartment and stayed in a caffe waiting for the cleaner to arrive. She came about 5pm and started cleaning with an old hoover and with no mop. The apartment smelled cigarettes so badly even after cleaning we had to sleep with windows open in December. The owner didn’t want to refund us but she sent us in email after our stay, advertising her apartment in Rome. Even, if it was clean and prepared for our arrival it is not the penthouse. Is is a small basic apartment with no way you can cook there as there is no clean pans or pots. Only one small pot that fits 3 eggs. It supposed to be a penthouse for 4 people!!! No wine glasses and not enough cutlery. It spoiled our stay in Berlin unfortunately.

I do hope my future Guests will be able to read this review as what it is. This Guest forced the check-in person to check-in earlier, before the apartment was cleaned, saying that I had allowed them to go inside before check-in time. This is not true. I never allow Guests to go inside of the apartment before it is cleaned because it is not possible of course. The check-in person was in trouble with this Guest and made them check-in because he did not know how to answer to their hostility. Now they say the apartment was not clean, of course it was not clean because they wanted to check-in before the cleaning started. We perfectly knew they were arriving of course so that it is not true that the check-in person did not know that. I also sent them email with maps, info and suggestions before their arrival. About a penthouse, I really don't understand what they are talking about: the apartment is a penthouse with private terrace facing the Checkpoint Charlie so that I did not understand what they meant saying it is not a penthouse. About a refund: yes, they wanted to SAVE money from their stay and this is the reason for this review. It is a NO SMOKING APARTMENT and it is not allowed to smoke inside :) I always accept reviews as suggestions to improve our service but this is not the case. We only ask respect for the work of people.

Great property in a really nice building, with an amazing location right in the centre of Berlin. Nice and clean and really cosy: it was freezing when we visited but we hardly needed to turn the heating on, it was so warm! The balcony is lovely and you can almost see Checkpoint Charlie from it, it's a fantastic location! Thanks for the warm welcome!

Great Location, Sunny and Bright Apartment
My husband and I spent a month in this Mitte apartment. The location worked out great and we were able to walk to everything (sights, museums, parks). It is close to all sorts of services and restaurants, close to Gendarmenmarkt, close to Rausch Chocolate... The apartment is on the 7th floor (with an elevator) with big windows for lots of natural light. The terrace overlooks the Checkpoint Charlie area. We had everything we needed to cook simple meals, great WiFi, comfortable bed, washing machine and big TV (although who has time to watch it). The owner was quick to respond to our questions and the management company gave us lots of good tips about the neighborhood. Thank you so much!

The apartment is small but is reasonable for two people. The location is fairly good. Close to Checkpoint Charlie about one mile from the major museums on museum island. We were disappointed in the furnishings because there was nowhere comfortable to sit. Just an uncomfortable futon to watch TV and hard plastic chairs for the table. Equipment for the kitchen is minimal. Zero welcoming instructions in anything but German. I had to call to get the TV to work and no instructions for other appliances. Overall, I felt the owner doesn't care about his or her guests.

Hi, I am happy you appreciated our central location exactly on the Checkpoint Charlie and the penthouse with private terrace. I am sorry you did not like the furniture that is in our images too, but please notice that chairs are not simple plastic chairs, they are design Kartell chairs, LaMarie by Philippe Starck so that really I am sorry you did not like them but I am sure that each Guest has his own taste and it is very good too. Fornthis reason images are important because Guests can choose better what they like. About tv, I am happy that we answered to you immediately about your questions and it is a good suggestion to explain Guests how to turn on tv, we did not think in that but we will of course :) My first interest is that my Guests enjoy their stay and I am happy to help, always and for all kind of questions :)

Nice modern apartment near Checkpoint Charlie
We had a very enjoyable 2 week stay in this apartment. It is on the top floor with a very nice terrace, overlooking Checkpoint Charlie. There is an elevator which was very convenient. The apartment is well equipped, and was stocked with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower worked well. The dishwasher and washing machine also worked well. We were able to make several dinners in the kitchen, but there are also many good restaurants nearby. There is a Lidl supermarket just a few hundred meters away. We were able to use the Uber Jump bikes to go from this location to practically anywhere else in Berlin. The apartment is quite close to the StadtMidtte Metro stop which we used frequently as well. It is close to the Gendarmenmarkt, which is a very nice area. The high end shops on Friedrichstrasse are right around the corner. The Gallerie Lafayette with a very nice food court is up there. Overall, this apartment made an excellent base for discovering all that Berlin has to offer. There is a lot to see and do in Berlin, and 2 weeks was barely enough time. We had a great time here. Our host Miha met us on check-in and showed us the details of the apartment. He also met us on the way out, and even called a cab for us. Thanks Miha!

This place is ideal for exploring Berlin!! It is the perfect location near 2 U Bahn lines.
Spotlessly clean and perfect for a couple--we just could not have more pleased with Alexandra's place. We looked out on to the Old Check-Point Charlie of Berlin Wall fame, yet there is no street noise from the hustle and bustle below, since we were on the 7th floor. We were minutes for all the major sites via Berlin's magical public transport system and yet we could walk to several restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommended.

Well-located apartment in the heart of Berlin
Stayed for a week here on business and appreciated the wonderful natural light, rooftop terrace and the terrific location. The apartment is clean and perfectly located near shops and restaurants and within a few metro stops or a short walk to major central Berlin attractions. Visitors should be aware that the apartment is quite small and the facilities somewhat limited - a hard sofa is the only place to sit in the living room, there is no clothes dryer, and the kitchen could use a few more dishes, pots, etc. I nevertheless enjoyed the apartment and would recommend it to others seeking a convenient central Berlin location.

Very Nice and Spacious Property
Overall, this apartment was wonderful for me. I probably would have given it 4.5 stars if available. Location, location, location is the first best thing I would say about it. The access to all parts of Berlin via public transportation is excellent and even convenient for returning back for a short rest or dropping off a package and heading in another direction. Very safe area and building. I never felt uncomfortable coming or going. Mini market, take away and all the things you need are right there and convenient. It is very large, beds are comfortable, bathroom nice and kitchen adequate unless you are throwing a dinner party, which you are probably not. Lovely view and though I did not sit on the patio, it is nice to be able to step outside. I really appreciated that laundry soap, cleaning products and basics were there. I have rented many apartments and often that is not the case. Liquid hand soap was there but no soap for shower. Yes, this is not a hotel so bring your own as sometimes things are there and sometimes not. As a long time apartment renter, I always travel with a bar of soap. The one thing that was missing for me was a comfortable place to sit. The chairs for dining were fine when sitting at the table, but other than the pullout bed in the living space there was no comfortable place to sit.It was either that couch or the bed. Even sitting on the pullout couch there was not side table or coffee table to put your feet up after a hard day or just to read. I pulled over the dining chairs and used one for a table and the other with a pillow for me feet. For new apartment renters and those from the USA in particular, ask how everything works from the shower to the washer to the dishwasher - not the same as what we are used to in the USA. Try locking and unlocking the door while someone is there to show you. Also, this was my mistake - I was told the trash was on the -1 floor (basement) and declined the offer to be shown the area. I assumed that there would be a trash room obviously there once off the elevator. In fact, the garbage is through the garage, which is huge, around many corners. Fortunately, a resident showed me the way. About a week later, I showed the way to another renter. Special kudos to Sasha, who manages the property. He could not have been more helpful. All in all it is a great place from which to explore Berlin. I would certainly recommend and would stay there again. Paula T. - Oakland, CA

Convenient location
We chose this property based on all the positive reviews, the terrace, and its location. We encountered difficulties throughout the entire check in in process: payments requested were incorrect in amount, payments requested were already paid, when we arrived at 5:30pm to check in, the flat had not been cleaned so we were sent out and unable to return to the flat until 8pm (because it was rushed, the cleaning was lacking-clump of hair in the shower drain), and the WiFi password was difficult to discover on our own (a serial number on a manufacturer sticker on the back of the router). We sent an email detailing these issues to the manager and she was apologetic and agreed the issues should not have occurred and it is not their customers normal experience. Unfortunately, it was ours. The apartment itself was in a good location for walking to sights or catching the U. Once we were able to settle in, the apartment was fine for our stay in Berlin and we were able to make use of the kitchen and the outdoor space. The addition of a second fan would be nice as there is no A/C and it was warm during our stay so we had to move the one fan back and forth from the living room to the bedroom. I am sure our experience was an aberration, most people seem to have no problem with the check in process so if you are looking for outdoor space and a convenient location, this apartment will work for you.

Comfortable central flat with a view
We enjoyed this quiet upper floor apartment near the U-Bahn and Checkpoint Charlie. The balcony is lovely! Access from Schönefeld is very convenient. Alessandra was very responsive, and Adam was helpful with check-in. My only complaint is that payment through VRBO was cancelled and the bank transfer payment process is quite complicated if you don't want to bring a large amount of cash. All in all, our stay was as expected and quite pleasant!

Great place in town center
This place is super clean, very new and well laid out. The “outdoor” balcony is great and offers a great breezes. We didn’t use the sauna due to schedule but it looked amazing and well maintained (we did use a great public sauna on the lake). You can walk everywhere from here and unless you need a car to get out of town, don’t bother renting one, not necessary. Would definitely rent again.

Centrally situated Berlin apartment
Enjoyed staying in this 7th floor apartment overlooking Checkpoint Charlie.the apartment was bright and clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of clothes space. We found we could walk to most of the sights in Berlin , the tourist bus stops 2 mins from the apartment.Plenty of restaurants in the area we did enjoy Entrecôte opposite the apartment. City supermarket around the block for essentials. Only issue we had (which is small) the door to the terrace was up a step but the curtain prevented the door from opening fully so a bit of a squeeze to get through the space. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again if returning to Berlin.

A luxury penthouse???
The location of the apartment is very good; the house is silent and in a good shape; the people I was in contact with when booking the apartment and checking in and out the apartment were friendly and flexible: But unfortunately the apartment itself is far away from luxury: it is simply furnished and in a need of a quick renovation or redecoration: My expectations were very high after reading the previous reviews but I wonder if I really was in the same apartment: The apartment should be no smoking but there was a rather strong smell of cigarette smoke when entering it: All in all a dissapointment:

I am happy to read that you loved the location of the apartment and our staff, it is very important for us to know that. About the furniture, I do appreciate your suggestions because it is important to know each Guest's taste but I am sorry if you expected a different kind of furniture also because it is the one that you can see in our pictures too. About the smoke, I am really surprised of what you wrote because it is absolutely not allowed to smoke inside of the apartment and we always had very good Guests who did not do that. We check it at check out very well each time, also because there is a penalty if someone smokes inside. Kind regards from Berlin, Alessandra

Best location but a little pokey
Apartment has all mod cons as described but if you have more than one piece of luggage this is not for you. Sasha was very helpful and available for advice
