The staff was great. The breakfast was the best ever- truly outstanding. The room was a nice size. Our room faced the street and it was noisy all night long. The location was good in the city, we could get anywhere easily. Highly recommend- bring earplugs if traffic bothers your sleep.

Great location for exploring Bergen and its waterfront. Friendly staff, no hassle luggage storage, and very good breakfast buffet. Easy walking distance to much that Bergen offers to visitors.

The hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are pretty spacious. However, there is absolutely no air conditioning and the rooms are extremely hot. Check in was slow and the front desk personnel was a bit testy. The gym had no water cooler, no towels and no air conditioning. Breakfast was rather good.

Awesome hotel

Well located with nice rooms and a great included breakfast. Very close to the waterfront fish market, Bryggen etc. Moderate walk to central station, less than 10 minute walk to airport tram. Good value hotel.

The Scandic Neptun has been really good for our brief stay in Bergen. It’s quite close to the harbour and about a 15 min. walk to the train or bus station. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Our only draw back was the temperature in the room. It was 25 degrees, no matter what we changed the thermostat to, so the first night was a bit warm to sleep well. There was one small fan available in the room, so we got a second fan from the front desk, for the other side of the bed. Problem solved. Would recommend staying here.

Just ok- get what you pay for

Honestly I would not stay here again. The outlet situation isn't great (add some extension cords at least near the beds). The breakfast ran out of stuff and was not replenished. If you're going to offer a breakfast during a time frame, it should be offered the whole time. The location is fantastic, close to the action, the bus line and the train station. Lobby people were very polite and professional. Biggest let down was I booked this mid trip to do laundry and was told they do not have laundry.

Renovations

I had various issues, the hotel was undergoing renovations with no option to move rooms. My room lock also malfunctioned 4 times leading to one occasion where I could not leave my room until the morning.

The property is quite dated. Hallways are dingy. Rooms were not easily accessible. Had to climb stairs with luggage because of split levels. Do not stay in rooms with four digits. Gym machines need repair and / or replacement. Bed very creaky. Breakfast was nice. Overall not to the standards that you associate with Scandic.
