This was my second stay at this location. The first time I stayed I had a negative incident at the restaurant but I spoke to the manager, he apologized so I decided to return. Following this stay I will not be going back nor recommending it to my friends and family. I stay at a lot of hotels 4 stars and up on a regular basis. The price point for this location was $300 USD/ night. I am appalled that they charged me an extra $65 USD due to make up stains on the pillow case and towel! If you are of a darker skin tone and you wear makeup I suggest you pack your own supply of towels etc… to stay at this location. We were also forced to wait over an hour to check in when other guests got their room access immediately. We sat in the lobby and when we saw multiple guests gaining access to their rooms so we went back to the front desk to inquire if our room was finally ready after waiting 1.5 hours we got the key. The continental breakfast items were never restocked. Breakfast started at 8 am and by 8:15 am the danishes were finished. We inquired and they said there were all finished. The pool was not clean as well. I was not happy.

A lovely simple hotel in an excellet location. An easy walk to Port Elizabeth and the bars and restaurants on the way and a short walk the other way to Princess Margarets beach. Friendly, helpful staff too.

Great location - beach, view, seaside walkway. Friendly staff. Food is okay, but a few good options to eat along the beach. On the downside, the room was in poor repair - a room that didn’t lock and wasn’t fixed (even temporarily) in 5 nights staying there and despite repeated requests. And a shower that didn’t drain resulting in lots of little flies coming out of the drain every time you showered. They did ‘fix’ it, but it was exactly the same afterwards and we gave up! It’s a shame because it could be a really wonderful hotel.

When travelling in Europe, I often use a booking agency named "i-escape" as they feature small, quaint, boutique hotels. When I saw Bequia Plantation Hotel listed as one of their recommended hotels, I jumped on it. As I understand it, the Plantation Hotel is i-escape's first foray into the Caribbean and hopefully not their last.

Great resort - everything we were looking for!
Room was spacious and comfortable, A/C was strong, bed was comfortable. Overall was quiet - my wife and I were super happy there for our two nights on Bequai. Would strongly recommend and stay there again!

Bequia is a breathtaking island. We wanted to get away from the typical all inclusive Caribbean vacations we had been on in the past finding them often crowded and commercialized. Bequia and the Plantation Hotel did not disappointment. The property is beautiful and clean. But most of all, I want to express how very kind and helpful all of the staff were. There service was above and beyond. On the day of our departure (we had to catch the 830 ferry) they opened their restaurant early for service and cooked us a meal. I'll miss talking and seeing them every day. Hope to get back. As to the location, you really can't beat it. We walked everywhere-even to Lower Bay Beach. The next time we may opt for a quick taxi ride to the other side of the island where their sister property is just to do some more exploring. If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway Bequia and the Plantation Hotel can't be beat.

Charming and friendly hotel a short walk from town
Lovely, peaceful stay in a relaxed and friendly hotel right on the beach. We stayed in one of the one bed villas, which had a good sized bathroom, dressing room, and good sized main room with a very comfortable large bed. There was a modern microwave, fridge and kettle although no other cooking facilities. The AC was powerful and there was also a fan. The building design is delightful as it is a traditional pitched roof wooden building, and it seemed to have been renovated not long ago.

The label "paradise" is probably thrown around too often when describing an exotic location. However, there is probably no word that fits better to describe the stay. Staff was always helpful in assisting with anything we needed and never hesitated to fulfill a request. Room, restaurant, grounds, beach, were in top order. For the price we pay in rent for a 1200 sq foot house in the States, we could stay at the Bequia Plantation for a month - with free breakfast and fabulous surroundings, so it is pretty affordable as well. Would not hesitate to book again for another stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bequia Plantation Hotel, and I can confidently say that it was a comfortable and relaxing experience. Not only was I captivated by the hotel's proximal location to the beach, but I was also extremely satisfied with the staff's service and the available amenities. well kept, The staff are very friendly and efficient.location is spectacular. The location of our room was perfect that we can watch the sun set every afternoon while overlooking the yachts and small boats. The place is very casual but you can do a lot of things like walk the Margaret trail, ride the boats to bring you to any part of the Islands, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. the hotel is walking distance to Port Elizabeth, the main town.

The hotel had everything you need. Beach, restaurant, bar, pool and lots of room. Walkable to many other restaurants and shopping. The staff at the hotel were great - especially Traverse, Cam, Mitri and Terrence. We really enjoyed our stay.

You know the old saying ' All that glistens is not Gold', well this is one of those establishments. The grounds look nice, just like the photographs and that is where it stops. 1 - We were placed in the wrong room type twice. Make a note of what you have booked because the check-in agents haven't got a clue! 2 - 1st room had an A/C unit which they knew was broken because water damage was all information papers already. Water came pouring out like our own personal water fall in the room. 3 - You will only have hot water intermittently - not when you want it, if at all. This was also known by everyone in town so perhaps Plantation need to advertise this before people given arrive with hot water expectations. 4 - When you dial '0' for the operator - you will not get an answer after staff have gone home at 7pm. 5 - The towels are small and are not tumbled dried and therefore they are hard and scratchy on your skin. 6 - The patio door on Room 23 is jammed shut so only 1 door opened - No one fixed it! 7 - Room 23 - 2 entrance doors but front desk do not know how to programme the 2nd entrance. 8 - Clothing found in the wardrobe of the 2nd bedroom. 9 - Dirty towels were in the cupboard under the TV. 10 - A bulb was missing in the kitchen - no one replaced it! 11 - The curtain rail over the patio doors in the main living areas was falling off - no one fixed it! 12 - The TV's were not programmed/no signal. 13 - Kitchenettes - no draining board DISAPPOINTING!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Bequia Plantation Hotel - just wish it could have been longer. I can’t fault the hotel - our room was spacious and well furnished with a balcony overlooking the bay. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Food was good. The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of Port Elizabeth and the Princess Margaret trail leading to the beautiful Princess Margaret beach and on to Lower Bay. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby too. I would definitely recommend and hope very much to return.

I am so glad I chose this property! The photos don't do it justice at all - the property is beautiful and secluded. There is a delicious restaurant with an amazing view and walkway right to the beach. The cottages are thoughtfully designed, beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The staff is amazing! So thoughtful, accommodating and kind. My mom is from Bequia and hadn't been home in 20 years. She finally was home and had been asking around to see where she could find a dish called Pelau. Our server asked the chef, and the chef offered to make it for us. It tasted incredible and made a great stay so much more special. To our server Kem, the head chef, and everyone we met while there - thank you so much for making my mom's return home special.
