We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beqa Lagoon Resort! It was everything we were looking for in a remote island destination. The amazing staff greeted us on the beach with music and shell necklaces - so began our love affair. The service is excellent and accommodating. Enthusiastic Filo gave us an excellent orientation and made us feel very welcome. Wayne, the GM, checked in with us almost daily and was so helpful. Keleni in the main office was a delight and charged our devices when our adapter didn't work. Sera gives the BEST MASSAGES on the planet - I'm not kidding! Joseph is an excellent activities director and island guide. The people make the trip and they are wonderful!!! The food was very good and you can choose from 3 different entrees at lunch and dinner. Breakfast is buffet style and you can request fresh cooked eggs. Our room was comfortable and roomy. The mattress and bedding were also comfy - which can be an issue in places this remote. The air conditioning worked great and power is supplied to the room 24/7. We've stayed in remote places where the beds are rock hard, there's no AC, and power is only available a few hours a day - so this isn't roughing it at all. We aren't divers, but we do snorkel and were able to fully enjoy this resort. You can snorkel the reef right in front of the resort and it's quite full of life. They also offer free use of kayaks and SUP boards. Around 2:30 PM each day the resort offers included and paid activities - all great!…We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beqa Lagoon Resort! This house is literally paradise and if you intend to visit Pacific Harbour, there is no place better you will find! Frederic and Alexxis are the best hosts and will help you with anything from in-house massages to calling taxis to working the washer and dryer! The house is so well laid out with the main house and casita close but separate, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the pool was perfect! I can’t think of anything we needed that wasn’t there, even pool floats. We used the kayaks and read and napped in the screened porch every day and when the afternoon rains came, it was so peaceful out there. The beach is 5 min walk and there is a market, restaurant and little Indian takeout place all within a block of the house. We have traveled to Hawaii, Nicaragua, Mexico, Kenya and Costa Rica and this house was our favorite of all we have stayed at so far. And a giant thank you to Frederic and Alexxis for all their help getting us back to the US before the airports closed, we couldn’t have done it without them. We can’t wait to go back!! The hotel is located over the road from the ocean. However, you can't swim in the ocean due to a very muddy water and could use the pool instead. The staff was nice and room was OK. It was tea/coffee and stove facilities in the room. Bottled water was also provided, which is nice. The only problem is that all rooms are one to another with chairs/tables in front and when occupants of neighbouring rooms just sit there and talk later in the evening, even pretty quite, it is still pretty loud. There is a dive shop on the site, which runs the famous shark dives. However, due to poor weather the dive was cancelled on the day I was there. As I found out, it rains much more on this side of the island than in the North.…The hotel is located over the road from the ocean. I booked this place for a week so we could go to a wedding in Pac Harbour last week. Expedia confirmed the booking and I paid for a week. I emailed the owner to ask about key arrangements and so on but got no response. After several weeks I got worried and emailed him again. He responded quickly to say the property was already let and Expedia were at fault. He gave me the phone number of his local agent but the agent was no help at all. I managed to find alternative accommodation but the whole thing was intensely irritating. Expedia have promised a refund.
