Little Blue Cottage - wooded getaway, near beaches and towns

Our cozy, family-friendly, newly remodeled cottage is a stone's throw from Lake Michigan and near Harbor Shores. Great location for peace and quiet, surrounded by trees on a large wooded property and isolated from any nearby neighbors. It's close to beautiful downtown St. Joseph, but also not far at all to South Haven and Coloma. Beaches, boating, several golf courses and great dining are all closeby. Home is quiet, private, clean and cozy.

Vaulted ceilings over the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Two general sleeping areas: one we like to call the "Lake Suite" with 3 beds, study area and sink, and the other slepping area contains 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Reclaimed wood can be found throughout the cottage from the former fruit stand that once was on the property. Everything here is brand new including the kitchen, bathroom, flooring and carpet, windows, paint and trim. We wanted to create a very comfortable space that would provide a cozy experience for you to relax and unwind all year. Check out the photos, we think you'll enjoy it!!

Rural wooded setting across the street from Lake Michigan. Closest neighbors are over 300' away. 8 minute drive from St Joseph and 20 minute drive from South Haven.

The exterior driveway is monitored by exterior camera for security and safety.

Perfect location
This place was perfect for a long weekend beach vacation with a family of teenagers! Just close enough to great beaches and shopping. The house was adorable and had ample space for all of us. The teens enjoyed their own “space” with the bonus room!

Great place for a family. The place isn't only exceptionally clean, it's well decorated and very comfortable. Loved how they had coffee sitting ready for us to use in the morning. Only 5 minutes north of St. Joseph (i.e. great location). Hosts were extremely responsive and very nice. Great stay!

Fun stay - close to everything!
We had a great stay visiting family in Michigan. So much to do and everything is very close to the cottage (downtown St. Joes, Silver Beach, etc). The cottage is awesome for families and we felt like we had room to spread out. Host was also very communicative. Thanks for a fun trip!

Upon arrival we noticed the yard had not been mowed. Once we entered the house we discovered that the back door was left open. Touring the house we noticed the locked supply closed was left open and windows cleaner left in the living room..After all that our stay was nice.

Clean, beautiful and with every small detail taken care of - Cozy blue cottage was truly a cozy relaxing experience for us. Nice layout, inviting back patio and large backyard with fire pit. Ideal location - straight shot of 8-10 min to beaches/parks and St. Joseph area restaurants with a very little traffic to bother you even in the busy vacation season. Benton harbor and South Haven attractions are also close by (15-20 min drive). We are happy that we picked blue cottage for our 3 nights, 4 days August vacation.

We had a family wedding in St. Joseph and this place was the perfect house to rent for the weekend. House was super clean and had all the amenities we were looking for. Very close to a public beach and felt so secluded from all the other homes in the area! Would go back again!

Perfect for families
We just stayed at the Little Blue Cottage for 4 nights. This was one of our best VRBO experiences. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. The location was ideal for our purposes. The hosts were extremely responsive. Our group had 5 children ranging in age from 9 to 15 years old. The third bedroom/bunk house was perfect for the kids. They had their own space with beds for everyone, a table and chairs, couches, a sink and their own t.v. When we weren't our and about, the kids were able to enjoy their own space. Very enjoyable for everyone, excellent experience, will certainly come back.

Lovely home in-the woods
Nicely arranged rooms For family to both sleep and have social times together too. Well equipped. Outside furniture for sitting. Near beaches and all the fun things in St Joseph like little shops, restaurants and stores. Our family mostly spent time pickleballing at public courts in the area and at the beach. I really appreciated good communication with the owner. She aways answered any questions quickly. We would definitely rent again from her.

Plenty of room for our family, the kids took up to back room and had a blast! Right off of M-63, which was a direct route to everywhere we wanted to go nearby. Plenty of room in the yard, fire pit was fun and we enjoyed scavenging in the woods. The house was clean and decorated beautifully. Our stay was very pleasant and comfortable.
