"Beautiful place and friendly staff!"

"Such an atmospheric property, filled with echoes of its colourful past. This is not a hotel-like palace but rather a grande-dame of a chateau with all the attendant wrinkles and wear that actually feels like it's been lived in by real families for centuries. We loved the authenticity of the chateau and especially enjoyed prowling the rooms and grounds, the caves, the woods, and the secret garden, and what a treat it was to realize the chateau has an actual moat. "Gregoire was a wonderful host. The Castle was clean, and any small critiques are easily understood by living in a castle from 1520! The bathrooms are modern, the beds very comfortable. There is no Air Conditioning, and the days were very warm! There were fans, though, and the nights cooled down a bit. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you, Gregoire!"

"We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house! Annie and François were so kind and friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, and the garden was amazing. Some of my children finally learned to swim confidently in the lovely saltwater pool. We visited the château at Saumur and the old town square, and enjoyed every moment of our holiday. We hope to stay here again another year!"

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"More than most properties - Gille’s sprawling 16th, 17th and other centuries place will mould to your wishes. No heated pool for us and the games room remained quiet. But a wonderful maze with parking for only the Le Mans champs ( like myself). Everything is close and walkable."
