"The room was clean, however the fan was dirty, blinds were broken. Walking into the property there was an open room full of clutter and mess, immediately in the hallway was what seemed to be a rolled up amount of carpet, and a house a dog that wasn’t disclosed on the listing. ""I did not stay at this property due to a total failure of service and severe health hazards. Upon arrival, no staff were present and the room was already occupied by two other guests due to a double-booking. The property was in a severe state of disrepair: the door was detached from its hinges, the walls were unwashed, and the bedding had significant biological stains and unwashed pillowcases. Furthermore, there was a heavy, pervasive odor of tobacco smoke. As a diagnosed COPD patient, this...

Orange Grove Hotel & Gardens

10/10 Excellent

"We had a studio apartment - it was for one night only pre cruise - wish it had been longer. A very comfortable room With amenities. We also had the most delicious meal in the restaurant and if you are a hotel guest then you get 15% off the bill. There was water in the fridge and tea coffee on offer. Will deffo stay here again pre cruise!"

Macdonald Botley Park Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"We were staying prior to embarking on a cruise. Helpful staff on check in, no lift and room on the 3rd floor. Staff helped with taking our suitcases up and down the stairs. Room quiet and spacious. Toilet flush only worked infrequently, room needed a freshen up chunks missing out of the wall and dodgy paint work. Only 1 pillow each"

Holiday Inn Express Southampton M27 Jct7 by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Having read many negative comments about this hotel we were pleasantly surprised to find things far better than expected. On arrival we were welcomed by Eileen who was very friendly, helpful and totally professional. We were soon checked in and were very impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the room and bathroom. Towels and bed linen were immaculate, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and the Wi-Fi was excellent. There was a good selection of hot and cold breakfast items which were nicely presented. All in all we had an excellent experience and would definitely stay here again. Recommended."
