Room and bathroom were adequate. I didn't like the smell in the bedroom that was a strong scent perhaps a rug spray. It made it difficult to sleep. No chance of fresh air, as the windows are sealed shut. Good air conditioner.

Belmar Inn was a really nice stay right half a block from the beach. I know this is the Inn's last year, but despite that, it was super clean, the staff were really nice and helpful, and the bagel-donut-coffee breakfast was a nice surprise, and much appreciated. (The coffee was available throughout the whole day so that was AWESOME.) Thanks so much for welcoming our family, it was a great weekend.

Read several negative reviews so wasn't expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised! Rooms were clean enough and the facility was on par with other budget hotel options but with the added bonus of being walking distance to the beach. Continental breakfast was unexpected and being fresh Dunkin Donuts bagels and donuts was IMO above and beyond what I typically expect from budget hotels. The fresh breakfast was much appreciated! Parking was on street and the road was quiet during our stay. It seemed like a safe neighborhood. Looking forward to staying here again. I left 4 stars because this isn't a "five star" hotel by definition. But in the budget hotel class, they were for us a 5 star choice! Thank you!

The staff were wonderful and great proximity to the beach … couldn’t access my room due to broken card key system, toilet tank was broken,no outlets in bedroom to change your phone, overall room felt like a run down SRO. Don’t stay here if you’re trying to impress your significant other with a weekend at the shore …

Definitely a "place to sleep" hotel. Will say the rooms were clean. The TV wasn't working, the lamp on the night stand didn't work either. The bed was surprisingly comfy and clean. Feels like a very bang for your buck hotel if you were to spend a single night at the beach. Location is perfect to everything. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

The room was nice and clean. However extremely small. There were absolutely no amenities for handicapped individuals such as myself. I was put on the third floor which requires climbing four flights of steps. There was no elevator. There were also no handicap rails in the shower, making it almost impossible for me to stay clean during my visit. The staff was really friendly and they did a great job cleaning the room. You can't beat the location. Just a half a block from the beach. However, there was no onsite parking, which made parking a little difficult as well.

The location of the property is very convenient to the beach. However, there is only on street parking and you have to park where you can find a spot. Often we found ourselves almost 1 mile away and having to walk back. The air conditioning in our room was a window unit. It did cool the room nicely. But there is no AC in the rest of the hotel. Our room was dirty. There is no elevator and we were on the third floor, so there was a lot of lugging and carrying up and down the steps. And my 75 year old father strugggled a bit. There was a strong odor of cleaning chemicals, but I didn’t see anything too clean. All the restaurants and bars were on the opponents of town, so you had to drive everywhere. Wasn’t very walkable to anything other than the beach. The beach was beautiful, clean and the water was crystal clear. We made the best of our stay, but the hotel was pretty gross.

The staff was welcoming, for the price I wouldn't stay here again. We had trouble with our key and had to do 3 flights of stairs to get it fixed and it took awhile for the 2nd time to work. (Other reviews seem like this is a problem, another guest was in lobby when we checked in w same problem). Our room a/c didn't keep the room cold and extremely noisy. For the area I expected the place alittle more higher class. It looked like the updates done weren't very professionally done. The place was close to beach and the front porch nice. It also seemed like a safe area, despite the fact we were awoken to a domestic incident and police coming (not the hotels fault). We checked out early and started our day sooner. I won't stay here again.
