Casuarina Cottage - walk to town - Mountain views.
Casuarina Cottage is a cosy space & suitable for no more than 4 guests. There are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen bed & the smaller 2nd bedroom has a double bed. It has a large, spacious deck with a wonderful view of the Dorrigo Escarpment. It's situated in a quiet & peaceful area yet close to everything. A 5-minute walk takes you to a well-stocked corner shop & cafe. 10 mins further you're at the Bellinger River where you can picnic & swim. 5 mins on & you're in the center of town.
The cottage is well-maintained and clean with a well-equipped kitchen We provide a variety of teas, ground coffee, milk and muesli. It has a relaxing bushy garden, providing shade and privacy from the street as well as attracting birds to feed. The spacious western deck is closed in on one end and provides protection from the weather and further privacy from the neighbours. On the deck, it is quiet, peaceful, and the perfect place for viewing the many birds that fly among the surrounding trees. There is a panoramic view of the Dorrigo Escarpment from the back deck. There are two lounge and eating areas: one inside and the other on the deck, where most of our time is spent there. The kitchen is well equipped (replace any accidental breakages, thanks!) and has functional basic equipment which includes a gas cooktop and oven, fridge, toaster, electric jug, microwave etc.
When you stay at Casuarina Cottage you have the whole house to yourselves. This includes a carport underneath the house together with a grassed park-like sloping backyard.
During your stay, I'm contactable by SMS if you have any questions or problems arise.

There is the unique Never Never Creek and picnic area at Gleniffer, only 10 mins drive away. It is a 20 min drive to the Dorrigo Rainforest Center where there are numerous rainforest trails to walk which include waterfalls, picnic areas, a cafe, a unique shop, and an information counter.
Casuarina Cottage is in North Bellingen and is a few minutes drive to the town center,10-15 mins by foot. The walk to town also takes you past the swimming spot on the Bellinger River. There is also a local taxi. The corner shop and cafe, a 5 min walk away, is well stocked and includes a liquor store. The ocean beaches are 20mins away by car. There is a bus to Coffs Harbour which leaves from Bellingen early in the morning and returns mid-afternoon. To get here with the much improved Pacific Highway, you'll drive for six hours from Sydney. We're halfway along that coastline between Brisbane and Sydney, 3.5 hours south of Byron Bay and 6 hrs north of Sydney.

Casurina Cottage is a delightful haven. The verandah is glorious and can’t beat the view. Kitchen is very well stocked with all you need for home cooking.
Well appointed home, outstanding views, quiet location, close to town.
Comfortable beds, everything you need for a great relaxing holiday
Highly recommended
We loved the fact there are a range of lounge/sitting areas, including a large living/dining inside, a veranda back and front, with the large back veranda also offering a dinning and sofa area.
Beautifully decorated, giving an inviting cosy feel.
Christine has thought of all the little touches to make guests feel very welcome.
Cute little cottage with a great view, comfy beds and absolutely every you need for your time away
Perfect stay for myself with a participant who sprained her ankle and needed to stay still for a few days with her ankle iced and raised. The outdoor deck was perfect for this.
Very clean, well looked after, home-away-from-home with lots of kitchen utensils, an iron, a supply of milk and tea/coffee, lovely outlook of trees, carport, clothes lines, ceiling fans and aircon, flowers in every room. Loved it.
Everything was as stated in the description - plus so much more. The cottage was very inviting - fresh milk and plunger coffee, and a variety of different teas. Little vases of fresh cut flowers and beautiful views all the way to Dorrigo. It was very peaceful sitting on the back covered veranda, we didn't feel we were in suburbia at all. The garden has a lot of interesting and different plants and the cottage was well located for accessing everything we wanted to do. The Host Christine was amazing and very easy to contact and communicate with. This was our first holiday using Stayz and future hosts and properties have a lot to live up to to meet the expectations I will have for them.
We booked Christine’s cottage in Bellingen for a couple of our employees who were working on the elevators at the hospital in town. It is in an ideal position for people working and travelling through the area, very close to all amenities and the pretty area of Bellingen itself. Christine’s home provided a pleasant place away from home besides the usual motel accommodation and was just as the pictures showed. Checkin was easy and the basics such as milk etc were left for our employees to enjoy. Christine and her partner put in much effort to keep their home nice and even came and changed sheets and refreshed the home weekly. Christine herself was prompt and extremely pleasant in all our conversation and even when we were experiencing delays with the hospital which were beyond our control extended our accommodation for a further week with no recompense to herself. Such kindliness should be recognised and appreciated and we would gladly recommend both Christine and her Bellingen home anytime.
We absolutely loved our time here. We will definitely be recommending this to friends and would love to stay here again. We were lucky enough to meet Malcolm (the owner) and he was a legend! He was super welcoming and put time into making sure we felt comfortable. Thanks again!
A unique and eclectic little cottage beautifully furnished with a well kitted-out kitchen. The view from the back verandah is stunning and the perfect place to have a cuppa or glass of wine and watch the birds fly by.
Casuarina Cottage is a wonderful home away from home.
The space is very welcoming and clean and the hostess has been a pleasure to communicate with.
Highly recommend 👌
A lovely cottage - spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautiful gardens and views, and generous supplies of breakfast food and more. Thank you Christine - we had a relaxing 3 night stay and certainly appreciated the air conditioning during the heatwave days. The added "touches" of fresh flowers, the glorious orchid and homemade jams added even more to an already wonderful time.

Birdful
Beautiful setting around the trees and bushes to watch birds from the outdoor deck.
Beautiful house with a great view of the mountains
Beautiful house with a great view of the mountains. Very clean and excellent communication with the owner. However, the kitchen would benefit with a microwave 😀.
I would like to say I confirm all the positive comments made about this cottage! We so enjoyed our stay and we think that Christine is a top hostess! She looks after her guests in an exceptional way! Thank you so very much for letting us enjoy this cottage. We will miss it! We were also able to do many bush walks and I swam underneath Cedar Falls, in the Never Never Creek (entrance for the Promised Land) and in the tidal pool at Mylestom.
