"There was poor internet access and not able to watch any tv shows for almost a week!!! At outdoor kitchen were infested with lot of ants.And those dishes were not even cleaned and stored away. Bathroom dirty towels were even reused in bathroom cabinet without changing for fresh cleaned towels. "The property is well located within 400 metres of the beach and surrounded by restaurants and bars & when you walk into the Holiday Inn, it is a relaxing garden oasis. The infinity pool is divine & the team members always have a smile on their faces. Had a minor scare when my wife thought she’d lost her gold earring. "Such a late review, considering that our trip was over a month ago, but finally getting to it makes me miss Vije so much! The hotel was such a dream! Firstly, the staff were so welcoming and we felt very much familiar in such a foreign place. We don't often feel that way in past places we've stayed at, but Vije was different. Every day, every single one of the staff we ever encountered were attentive and tended to our needs when necessary. Our room had the river valley view and it was beautiful! Because of this experience for our first time in Bali, we've decided we will be returning soon and bringing our close friends with us to experience the very friendly and authentic hardworking people and the beautiful island they call home. The only negative was the dining choices. One restaurant which food was good but would have preferred some more casual snack items. This was also quite expensive.
Most days or evenings we got in a taxi and went to independent restaurants of which there are loads around. This was a great why to get out and see places and try new restaurants.
Location was ideal for us and felt secluded, safe and private when on the grounds. We liked being away from the busy areas and was happy to take taxis to these areas when needed.
Overall a very enjoyable stay"
