Nice hotel even if slightly old fashioned. Amazing breakfast, perfect location if you’re taking the overnight sleeper train to Shanghai as the Main Station is literally across the street. Perfect central location to Beijing itself too. The hotel was just what we needed for a few days in Beijing.

The area surrounding the hotel is good for sight seeings. But since it is in the heart of governmental admin area, it lacks of local lives in the sense of real local food (you can find quite a bit of tourist food) Be prepare to do quite a bit if walking and the area is hugh!

Good location, helpful staff, and clean and comfortable rooms. The bed in my room was especially comfortable. The restaurants are a bit overpriced for what you get (although the breakfast is a reasonable value), and the charges for the tours and taxi rides are significantly higher than ones you can get independent of the hotel. Overall, I was very pleased and enjoyed a nice stay there.

Good Hotel Location & Services

The hotel staff are friendly, but special thanks should be accorded to Mr David Zhu, one of the Hotel Manager there. Upon my check-in on Aug 8th, he was extremely kind and courteous and gave me good info on where to find good food, and shopping etc. Second commendation goes to the Bar Counter, Mr Jack Wu - who was extremely friendly and full of smiles while serving me my coffee and a chocolate chip. Do convey my special thanks to them!

The hotel looks good but the surrounding is complicated even when using DIDI . Breakfast ok but no eggs available and it was a hi price for what was offered

The rooms and furniture are a little dated. Not a big problem, but a remodel would be good. Location is great, opposite of main rail station and a subway station, plenty small restaurants and supermarkets around the corner, a bank of china office (ATM) 3 minutes walk. Big modern shopping mall at 10 minutes walk. Breakfast very good, lot of choice, international breakfast. 2 restaurants, one western, one Chinese, good food. Front desk staff very friendly, good English speaking.

A decent place to stay.

I like the location of the HoJo's in Beijing. It's right next to the Beijing Railway stop on Line 2 on the Metro. Centrally located for just about everything. I don't do nightlife, so not sure how that aspect is, but for getting around and cost, it's good for me. Staff is reasonably helpful; many speak English well enough to get by, and continue to improve. I wish my Mandarin would improve at a similar rate! The place shows it's age, but price, location help to balance it out. Beds are comfy.

This hotel is more on the high end. Its very near to Beijing Station. The room is very satisfactory. Breakfast is good with a wide variety of food choices. Staff is a bit cold and not as friendly as it should. I asked if they can signed on my behalf of some parcels. They have said no to that. Overall satisfaction, however staff can be friendlier

Checked in at 2 am. Night auditor told me no record of reservation and he could not honor my king bed request. Told me I could leave and get another hotel if I wanted. Room he gave with 2 single beds dirty and old.

I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED TO FIND OUT THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING IN MY ROOM DID NOT WORK DURING THE MONTH OF OCTBER. I WAS VERY HOT OUTSIDE AND EVEN HOTTER IN MY ROOM. YOU ADVERTIZE THAT YOUR HOTEL IS AIR CONDITIONED. YOU ARE MISLEADING PEOPLE BY NOT TELLING THEM THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING IS ONLY IN THE LOBBY.

Staff w/ bad attitude

The guy welcomed us upon our arrival had a bad attitude. We were told that the rooms we booked were not available so they gave us an "upgrade." I asked him if it's still one large bed, he said no. And he was not accommodating at all. We get to the rooms and both rooms smelled like cigarette smoke! We had asked for non-smoking rooms & we were on the "smoke-free" floor...

全体的にはとても良かったです。綺麗なホテルでした。お部屋も広かったです。 唯一の不満は、22日早朝にチェックアウトした際に、フロントには女性スタッフが1人だけおられました。 無愛想で、彼女の英語の発音が聞き取れず、？となっている私たちに彼女は言い直すわけでもなく、ただ睨みつけるようにこちらを見ました。 そのあと理解した私たちですが、帰り際も何の言葉もなくただただ無愛想でした。 北京では皆さんに親切にしてもらいました。唯一不親切だったのは彼女だけです。 他のフロントの方、前日の夜までいた男女の方々にはとてもよくしていただき、感謝しかありません。 1人の人間のイメージが、こうしてホテルのイメージにつながってしまったことがとても残念です。 でもそれ以外は全てパーフェクト。空港でも街中でもレストランでも、北京の方はとても親切でした。
