We recieved a call from the Oakes hotel stating that there was plumbing issues at their property. They transferred us to the Hilton. We were thrilled that it was the Hilton, beautiful hotel.

The hotel is nice and very convenient.

Looks good, very big comfortable rooms, good breakfast on bed included, the restaurant is really good as well. Shower even at the coldest is very hot and water was escaping making a puddle outside the shower. Some rooms have a "smell", mattress was hard and in need of change., the middle was higher than the sides, pillows were big and not my first choice but that's personal preference. Could also feel the wind / cold from the window. Baseboards etc are beat up. The place needs a face-lift. Also the surroundings are sketchy, but that's Niagara nowadays.

Not the place if you are looking for anything at all fancy, but adequate enough if you’re doing a quick in and out of the city. About 110 CDN for an Uber from the hotel, and quite a far walk to nearest subway, so make use of bus system as well. Room was okay, but lights from the modem above bathroom door were very intrusive and distracting.

The staff was very friendly, and for an older hotel it was in decent shape. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
