Jeremiah was a great host! Cabin is cute, rustic and has everything you need plus more than expected. Lake is pretty with lakefront Mountain View’s. We had use of kayak, row boat and canoe. The dock and deck look brand new. Needs a patio shade for me as was quite hot. A dip in the water helps. Thank you so much. We had a blast!
I was surprised by how nice the lake is. I'm not sure if it is because we came in early June, but I'm pretty sure I saw more chipmunks than bugs.
Row boats and life jackets were provided to enjoy the lake. The game tables in the game room were a bit worn, but they were playable and provided lots of fun.
The only flaw was that the barbacue could use a cleaning.
But other than that, it was great. I really enjoyed it.
Second time staying at this cabin, and absolutely love it! Has everything you need and more (just dont forget to bring ground coffee!) Very clean including the hottub, easy to access, comfortable, fun games room and fire pit. Hiking / snowshoeing in the area. And honestly the best part is no cell services, so you can truly relax!
We loved our weekend here. Lots of space for our family of four, right by the water, had everything we needed. Easy communication with Jeremiah. Lovely quiet property. We would definitely return.

The cottage was warm and cozy, clean and comfortable. The view from the paito was amazing and the hot tub was just what was needed to make this a perfect little getaway.
10/10 would recommend staying here! We had an amazing time staying here! The cabin was so cozy and very well stocked with anything you could need for cooking and cleaning! The lake was refreshing! The lower dock was convenient for spending the day on the water! We didn’t end up using the boat but it was a wonderful feature that was available for use! The hot tub was clean and easy to use! One suggestion we thought would be wonderful was having towel hooks by the hot tub to hang them on. We all thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would definitely book it again!
Jeremiah was a nice host to deal with. Cottage is very rustic and cozy. Kitchen is well equipped, lots of towels and pillows. ( only need a hairdryer ;) ) The lake is beautiful and great outdoor deck is covered. Only note would be the bedrooms are not private. You go through an open bedroom at top of stairs to get to other bedroom. Not quite what was expected for 4 adults but we were able to secure the lower suite from host which was a pretty easy fix.
We loved being so close with nature. Listening to the loons throughout the day was a highlight. The property was amazing and some areas to walk such as kettle mountain trail. Loved meeting some of the locals too. Only a couple small cons to be prepared for - Mosquitoes at night and sun in the evenings. A screen-like door on both sides would have been nice to let air in. Kids loved being in and boating on the water. Access to the beach is walking distance - no direct water access but it was ok for us. Ample places for parking and very pet friendly.
It was a wonderful stay. We have 6 people in our family with children ranging from toddler to older teens and it worked perfectly. There was something for everyone on the property. We loved that the cabin included a private dock, with a little boat, canoe, kayaks and paddle boards. We had so much fun on the lake with all the options. We also took full advantage of the private hot tub, firepit, playground, badminton and games room. We brought water as per the boiling warning, but was pleasantly suprised to see our cabin included a water cooler. The only drawback was the back door didn' lock except for a chain, however, it seemed very safe as the resort is nestled in a very small community. Just a heads up, if you are not from this area, if you are taking the short route from Penticton, just know it is a long, bumpy, dirt road with no reception. This cabin was definately the best out of all of them and we would definatley come back. We were sad to leave.
Weather was fantastic and so were the views from the deck. Hot tub was nice to soak in at night once the sun went down. Cute cottage with tons of games and shows to watch. Comfy beds and pet friendly.
We just finished 2 days at the cabin. There was no internet and no cell reception. We arrived home today to find that owner sent a message via VRBO - to which we had no access telling us not to drink the water due to a boil water order! There were no notes at the cabin, no one visited or noted in any way that the after may make people sick.
This is completely unacceptable.
We made some amazing core memories and it was great to get away from the hustle and bustle. Everything we needed was there and the hot tub was perfect for a rainy evening. Lots of games and movies for indoor entertainment. Fishing and hiking was lovely
We had a nice stay for a couple of days. We didn't expect the lake is still frozen. It's quiet and away from many things, only 20 mins to Big White. Lodge is clean and comfy.
We had such a nice time staying at Jeremiahs cozy place at Idabel. This is our second time staying there and both times were great. We would definitely recommend his place!
Beautiful location . Nice relaxing dog friendly resort .
A little confusing when we arrived as our instructions stated cabin 10 and there are only 8 . We were quickly greeted by the resort owner and he directed us to #1 . Check in was easy , ample parking and the neighbour was nice enough to let our son park his boat at his dock . The cabin has 3 double beds ( pictures show two and a bunk bed ) and a pull out so comfortably sleeps 8 . Kitchen is fully stocked , ample towels etc . The water filtration device was not helpful as very little would come through so I’d suggest to bring extra water . Ample movies for the kids (although the main DVD player wouldn’t open )
Lovely deck to relax on and a great beach just around the corner to swim or take the dogs . Hiking trails about 10 min walk down the road . Thundermountain raceway nearby so we were able to catch the races . Huge hit ! We also floated the Kettle river which is about a 45 min drive . Great weekend to unplug and relax .
This cabin at Idabel lake was rustic but comfortable. Super cozy and clean. There's a hottub which is also really awesome too!
The contact for the cabin is very responsive and super helpful.
the lake is amazing and there is trout for those who enjoy fishing. The beach is small but there is also room on the dock to lounge and play.
Overall it's a great location and a great place to get away from the city. No cell signal which is a bonus.
One area of caution is the bugs. they are vicious and numerous. Black flies, white flies, horse flies, wasps, mosquitos, noseums... especially the noseums. They're small enough to fit through the holes in the screen (but the screens do a good job of keeping everything else out). I highly advise to come with an arsenal of bug repellent.
We had an amazing time in this cozy cottage! It was the perfect getaway with lots of fun outdoor activities to do. We enjoyed snowshoeing, ice fishing and using the hot tub! Everything you needed was provided, it was a great stay!
