Great Ski Weekend

Property was okay, it had a good ski in and ski out ability. I didn't realize until we arrived that it had no dinning table but we made do fine. Bedrooms were good, clean sheets and blankets. The bathroom unfortunately was not as clean as it should of been. We arrived after dark and could not see the house numbers so it took us awhile to find the place. We had to walk up to a few different places until we found the correct one.Overall the place waa exceptable but im hoping that the house cleaner will do a better job for the next guests.Note: there is no cookie sheet or baking dishes was nit

Clean property with easy ski in ski out. I think ski in directions could have been provided as they were not obvious. 2 parkign spots were advertised but one was under 4 feet of snow and property managers refused to remove snow. We chose the property because of the 2 spaces advertised. The property managers seemed to think we were being unreasonale asking to have the space cleared and insisted we should park at happy valley....a 30 minute walk accross the ski hills! I will be following up for compensation for false advertising and services not provided.

Beautiful place that could use just a few tweaks

This was a lovely newly renovated place that really was comfortable on many levels and we were very grateful for it. The kitchen was perfect, and the living room/entertainment system was great. Although the beds were nicely appointed, they were oddly not very comfortable. Surprising when on so many levels this is a perfect place. A softer mattress cover could easily fix this. The other issue was something in the boiler room/laundry room would turn on and off about every hour and we only noticed it at night. It was loud and abrupt and woke us up several times a night. Not sure if it was linked to the hot water tank or what, but it was disruptive. Other than those fairly minor issues, the place was great. The Vacasa team were helpful and communication was great in general, however when my son broke his wrist on day 2 when he was learning to snow board, I asked if we could get a refund for our last night, or a partial refund as we considered leaving Big White a day early. I thought this would be possible as I had just added this additional night to our booking while I was there (before my son's accident). I know with Airbnb for example, if something happens where you need to leave (I offered to show a medical note from the doctor), Airbnb will sort out a refund. Vacasa was not accomodating in this way and said even with more than 24 hours notice, they would not refund or partially refund the last night of our trip. Maybe it was for the better as we ended up staying and instead of snow boarding, my son skied on this last day, so it worked out in the end. Still, I was surprised that Vacasa was so inflexible even though the change of plan was because of a medical reason. So, overall, great place and with a few fixes (to the comfort of the mattresses and addressing the sounds in the hot water tank room) this place could be perfect.
