We had a great stay at this chalet! It worked really well for our larger group, with plenty of space to hang out together and still have some privacy. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, with a balcony hot-tub for soothing aches after a long day of skiiing. The location was also very convenient for getting on and off the slopes.Overall, a great choice for a group trip!
Our group of friends had an excellent time at this gorgeous home.
Plenty big enough for us all and had lots of great features and amenities.
Our only wish would be a bit more information on the ski-in route, although it may be because we were late in the season.

Ski weekend group of 8
Our group has been to 5 different Canadian ski towns. Always have received great reviews and given great reviews.
The house location is good for Big White, but the layout is not ideal for a group of 8 as there are no large spaces for the group to be together. The lower bedrooms are tiny and don’t really fit adults in those bunkbeds very easily.
Laurinda (the owner) needs to hire vacasa or a rental management company. She is an out of town owner who doesn’t have the ability to currently manage her house.
Upon check in, we reached out to her to address several issues and she clearly did not have any interest in assisting with the following issues:
-no soap/no shampoo (she said she no longer supplies them)
-the washing machine is broken which she informed us about upon check in and several of us planned to use the laundry.
-there is no tv service and non canadian streaming services don’t work in canada. There are 7 controllers upstair by the tv-good luck.
-no kitchen knives or sponges to prep a meal.
-bbq had no propane
-upon check in she told us we are required to take our garbage with us which would have been nice to know before hand.
We drove to kelowna and bought her shampoo, a broom, sponges and a tank of propane. You are welcome Laurinda.
Needless to say, we were not impressed.
Beautiful location. Easy ski in ski out. Beautiful house. Tons of space for multiple families. Loved staying here!! Heads up the garbage depot is not always open, so make sure to check the hours.
Great location, although not really able to walk to the hill; was a few minute drive down the road. Beautiful views, spacious home with large laundry facilities - great for a large crowd. Host always returned my messages quickly.
Great location, super accommodating and communicative host. Will definitely consider booking again!

Hot tub was dirty. While the property mgr. said they cleaned it the filter was filthy and not working. The circuit breaker kept tripping so we deemed it a hazard.Internet was out and the provider said it ad been out for two weeks.General cleanliness of the space was ok but the cleaning crew needs to step it up.The driveway can be a bit scary when icy
Our friends and family had a wonderful stay in Big White. The only downer was the very cold weather, but the amazing accommodations made it easy to be stuck inside. The host was great at communicating with us during the stay and I would definitely stay here again.
Everything was exactly as advertised or better. We stayed at the location for a corporate retreat and it was awesome. No complaints from any of the team and we had a great team bonding experience. Would certainly visit again.
This place was perfect for 8 of us on our annual guys ski trip. Nicely renovated, great view, close to the lifts. A few minute walk down the street to strap in to get to the lifts, and a closer walk back on the ski-out run. Had everything we were looking for; hot tub, bbq grill, washer/dryer, ski/board racks, 4 bedrooms (2 with 2 sets of bunks) for 10 beds, 3 bathrooms, big great room area with awesome mountain views. Would recommend for families or group ski vacation!

Still waiting on my damage deposit
Our damage deposit was not returned despite us leaving the place perfect. Owner ghosted us after the stay. This owner has a history of doing this kind of stuff (there are several news articles about her). I’d avoid this place if I were you.

Could have been awesome but was just ok
The location is perfect but the overall experience was below average and we would not go back. The advertised spa was filthy: the water was brown and had barely any chlorine in it (we tested it). The bedrooms are very basic: there is not a single reading light in any of them including the master and the bunk beds are not comfortable at all (our kids are used to traveling and said these were among the worst they had slept in). The wine fridge started beeping including at 3am one night. Then a leak started to drip water in the TV room. We called the handyman recommended by the owner but he never showed up. It was right in the middle of Xmas which we understand makes things trickier but we basically had to manage a bucket for 3 days and lost access to that room entirely.
Great location! Beautiful chalet, especially the main floor living/dining room & kitchen area. Gorgeous views! A bit of a strange layout though. Equipment room off of laundry on split level between main and lower levels not convenient at all. You come and go from the lower level. It would make much more sense to outfit part of the lower level as a gear room. That’s where we ended up leaving our ski equipment. Beds very comfortable, linens soft and inviting. Bunk bed rooms, however, have absolutely NO storage. The kids had to utilize the unused beds as a place to put their clothing. A couple of shelves in both rooms would solve this problem. Lighting is very dim in all the bedrooms as well because there are no side table lamps in the bedrooms upstairs or wall lamps for each bunk bed. Easy fix as well. Ski in/out works well, provided there is snow on the road. Otherwise, a bit of chore to walk to and from. Not an issue if you have a car. Owner easy to reach and quick to respond. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would stay again.
We reported to Laurinda seeing a mouse running along the kitchen countertop and behind the stove on the first night of our 4 night stay. We could not use the kitchen properly for the entire time of our stay and had to keep all food stored away and off the counters. Laurinda said this is normal for the area and did not offer to have anyone come to take care of the rodent problem during our 4 night stay and said the cleaners will set up traps after we check out.
We are also still waiting for our refundable deposit of $1000 that we paid at time of booking in November of 2023. Since checkout, she confirmed to me through multiple emails that our $1000 deposit will be refunded and keeps making up excuses. She said we should have received it within 7-10 days of departure but still have not to date. It's been 4 months now. She has not replied to my most recent voice message or email.
We have rented elsewhere multiple times at Big White resort and this is the first time that I have had to leave any negative feedback.
Do not book with Laurinda Kalawarny Summers.
The place and experience was beyond advertised! Beds were comfy, place was cozy, the fusball table was a hit, and the experience with the property manager was top notch :). Would certainly stay here again. Great for groups and families.
This was a great space for our two families. Teens enjoyed having own rooms and living room space.
Hot tub was a wonderful feature and was used often.
A few little things came up - not enough kleenex, no kindling for fire place, ice machine in fridge not working - but overall our experience was fantastic and we'd certainly book again. Laurinda was easy to deal with and responded extremely quickly.
