The home was fabulous, comfortable and well equipped. The animals on the hobby farm were a treat on our vacation. Great location to explore the area. Thank you!
Second time staying here and it really is a “home from home”. Lovely and peaceful away from fireworks for our border collie who is terrified of them. Our son loved the chickens! Veronica left milk, eggs and biscuits which was so kind. Just a cosy wee cottage surrounded by Autumn colours with everything our family needed. Thank you!

We have stayed at this property three times now and have always found it to be warm and comfortable. The host is excellent and so helpful. The woodburning stove was just perfect this stay, due to the snow.
Modern and spaceious cottage on a nice little farm, very friendly host and cute dogs included. The living room is cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. Aside from Loch Ness most points of interest are a bit further away so there is not too much to see around but the cottage totally makes up for that.

Host was lovely, but we didnt realise it was on a main road which gets pretty busy with locals so not great for walking places from the property. Beautiful locations nearby though.
We spent 2 days at this property in the middle of our 2 week trip to Scotland. It was just what we needed as we were able to relax, cook some meals and still get out to see the sights in the area. The accommodation was very comfortable and did indeed feel like a home away from home. The friendly dogs and ponies were a great bonus!
A very well kept Cottage. The location is private and has quick access to several nearby areas including Inverness, Beauly, and Loch Ness. Has all the amenities you need for either a short or long stay.
That was an amazing experience. The host Veronica was an absolute delight and very helpful. The cottage was perfect, clean and very cozy. my daughter even helped feed the animals with Veronica. We will definitely book again the next time we are in Scotland. Cheers
We loved the cottage. It is perfectly situated to enjoy Inverness and drive around the loch. The place was clean, and we had everything we needed to cook. Plenty of hot water! We loved seeing the farm animals on the property.
This place is incredible! We enjoyed having so much space and loved saying hi to all the animals each morning. It’s a perfect location for any traveling around Inverness or great place to just relax for a day. The house has everything we needed and more.
Everything was delightful. Very clean , well equipped, close enough to Beauly to be convenient. Thanks for the fresh farm eggs, bread, milk and for helping with dinner reservations.
Oak Cottage is very roomy and perfect for our family.
This was a really great place. The owner is really nice and welcoming but not in your way. The property has ponies and very friendly dogs that you can interact with or not. The ponies enjoy carrots!
The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. It’s a great central location for exploring the area. Highly recommended.
Cosy, comfortable cottage with a lovely owner who left fresh milk, eggs & rolls on arrival. Beautiful Croft with animals in a lovely location & the cottage provides everything needed for a peaceful weekend away. Perfect for our Border collie who needed away from fireworks on bonfire night weekend.

Ideal for us as dog owners, Veronica had a high fenced pen that we could let our dog run around and answer the eary morning/ last thing at night call of nature in. House was clean , tidy and well equipped for day to day living, we will definitely have a return visit.
We spent Christmas in Oak Cottage and it could not have been a more wonderful stay. Veronica was a communicative and helpful host from the get go and really went the extra mile by putting up some Christmas decorations up for us before we arrived. The cottage is just a little bit down the road from Beauly, so it's easy to get to as long as you have a car. The cottage itself is spacious and well-equipped with everything you'd need. You can also say hello to the animals on Veronica's croft which was an extra treat! We wouldn't hesitate to book Oak Cottage again next time we're in the area.
The cottage it self was well supplied withbeverything you needed.
Veronica welcone us on arrival. Once in the property she had placed eggs, bread and milk in the fridge.
Veronica added all the touches as if it was lije being at home. We loved the animals and feeding them.
Great location, we would highly recommend.
Cheers Sharen and Wendy
This Cottage is WONDERFUL! So cozy and warm with absolutely everything you need. Veronica is a great host, she provided us with eggs, bread and milk when we arrived. We had a small dog with us and he had a large fenced area to run about. We had no problem finding the cottage as Veronica gave us detailed directions. Comfortable beds, white fluffy towels and the cottage was spotless! Wonderful log fire to keep us warm and a large TV, DVDs books and games to keep us entertained. Wash/drying room was a suprise! We will definitely book again!
We stayed for two nights, and wished we could stay for longer. The cottage is perfectly located between Loch Ness and Inverness, and is convenient to both.
Veronica is an exceptional host, responsive and takes very good care of the property. We arrived to fresh eggs from the Veronica's hens nearby, and a fire set up ready to go.
The photos online do not do this cottage justice. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, very well laid out and has comfortable beds. This property is perfect for families and couples.
Things not shown in the listing which were a bonus; a big laundry room (great when you have been hiking or road tripping for a week) and fields with animals next door, plus another field for the kids to play around in.
Thanks Veronica, we had the best stay in your cottage.

Lovely house
The house was lovely, warm and clean. The only let down for us is that it wasn't clear that the house is right next to a very busy main road. Us country folk are not used to hearing cars zooming past at all hours.
However, it was a good location for being able to visit many places of interest and not too far from Inverness. Thank you for the fresh eggs they were delicious and a lovely touch, especially when you could see the providers scratching around in the field. Definately free range.
There were four of us plus our dog and we had a wonderful stay at Veronica's Cottage, despite rain almost every day. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchen and of course wonderful surroundings. Veronica lives right next door and would have been available if we needed her. But as everything fitted and everything in the house was well explained, we didn't need to call on her. The dogs (Veronica has two) got on well - otherwise everything was prepared for them not to meet. You should have a car, even if the bus stop is not far away. Shopping is easy in Beauly (8 minutes) or you can drive to Inverness (25 minutes).
We had to change our plans twice - but that was no problem. As I said, Veronica is very accommodating and a very good hostess.
We had a lovely stay at Veronica's cottage- Oak Cottage. It was much bigger than we anticipated, spacious and light and airy. A lovely surprise! Very comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Veronica left fresh eggs, milk and biscuits which were much appreciated. This cottage genuinely has everything you could ever need and more. A large freezer and undercounter fridge. A dishwasher, all the cooking utensils you could ever need. A washer and a dryer. Books and dvds etc. The animals are fantastic and lovely neighbours to have! The secure dog field was great and our dog had great fun in there. People pay alot of money for access to secure fields for their dogs to play so this is such a great addition. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Veronica is a lovely friendly host. We enjoyed exploring Loch Ness and Glen Affric. The local area is beautiful .Oak cottage is truly a lovely place to stay!
