Cottage/Tiny House Living Accommodation in Beaufort for Cost-conscious Traveler

The Pigeon Nest Cottage is ideal for the cost-conscious traveler or couple who appreciates a cozy, homey venue for a getaway, and only a 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The little 220 ft.²addition fits perfectly in the new craze for "tiny house" living. It is connected to owners home by a 20x18 ft screened private veranda.
Situated in the Pigeon Point area of Beaufort close to the historic downtown, Chateau Petite Cottage aka Pigeon Nest Cottage is a small place with a lot of heart. The cottage is nestled among ancient Live Oak trees draped with Spanish moss, across the road from the Beaufort River. It offers our guests: a kitchenette (microwave oven, sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, 2 burner portable stove, and dishes,pots n' pans); coffee and breakfast bars for your first morning here, a bathroom with a shower and bath towels (including beach towels) beach chairs, and boogie boards are in shed..
. Bedroom/day room with a very comfortable daybed, that can either be used as 2 twins or a king size ; an HD flat-screen TV with cable channels; WIFI access; a bistro table with 2 chairs; in addition, you'll have access to a front-loading washer and dryer.
Outside, the cottage offers a large yard surrounded by a white picket fence ....as well as a private screened gazebo for guests .and a separate patio seating area with a table and chairs for relaxing and enjoying the flowers .
. A whimsical flower garden is in a continual process of "being complete."
In February of 2015 Diane's younger sister Bonnie passed away, and it spurred the idea of a memory garden for her.... a meandering path, graced with ferns, roses, daisies, hydrangeas, misc pretty flowers, as well as a precious pink flowered bush called "little Bonnie" have all been planted with love. You will also find teapots, bunnies and assorted little treasures to make you smile. Please spend time enjoying........ my flowers want to see you...

You also will get to have the delightful experience of meeting my 2 feline roomies Miss Maggie Grace, and Good Golly Miss Molly, the long haired calico. They love to be petted.!!! They are indoor outdoor cats, So please don’t let your dogs outside unattended.

Location was wonderful. Having access to Hunting Island provided a terrific place for the beach and sunrises. In all we saw raccoons, crabs, variety of large and small fowl, beautiful cats, and dolphins. Would stay here again! Host went above and beyond to provide anything a guest would need!

Perfect for a getaway

My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend stay at this cute little cottage. It's close to many different things and is very cozy and quaint. We enjoyed the whimsical garden and its decorations and we also enjoyed meeting Diane, our host, and visiting her shop.

Very cute spot!! I was in town for a USMC retirement so this was very close while also being away from the busy area. The garden was absolutely magical, I got to watch lots of birds fly in and out. Everything was great. This is an excellent location in Beaufort. Quiet close to parks and close to downtown. The space was small but clean and had everything. The grounds are spectacular.

Diane’s tiny house experience offers unique scenarios to relax and enjoy the beauty of the gardens and its winged visitors as well as everything needed for a delightful stay tucked into the corners and cubbies of a whimsical, comfortable, and compact space. The location is perfect and accessible to downtown shops and restaurants. The only complaints are about the TV not working and the lack of space in the shower. It is very tiny! Barely space to move.

Weekend in the Garden

Diane's quiet little abode offered not only a whimsical and peaceful place to rest our heads, but also, a wonderful slice of South Carolina scenery. It's perfectly located between the main drag of Beaufort and all the nice ritzy tourist attractions across the bridge and downtown. Be prepared to meet a few of the local kitties, and have nice relaxing mornings in the flower garden. The place is decorated to match the laid back beach vibe and entertain a cute date night in or two on the many tented in porch spaces. We would happily come back and stay here again! Thanks.

Enjoyed a lovely weekend with my husband. Owner was very accommodating and gave us some great ideas on where to go in Beaufort. Cute place; everything we needed was there. Very nice outdoor areas as well. Fun area for a great weekend. Location is an easy walk to the community boat dock to watch the sunrise or to downtown to enjoy the waterway, shops and great restaurants. Had a wonderful stay!
