A Perfect Northern Get-Away On The Scenic Big Creek In Luzerne

"This cabin was very, very difficult to find! The owner supplied map was too small to read!! Cabin was infested with mosquitos!!The owner paid (3) visits to the cabin. No privacy!!! The furniture was very old!!!! The cabin is NOT senior friendly!!!!! We left (3) days early to escape the experience. The grassy area from the cabin to the dock or fire pit was very hilly and very uneven to walk on! Never used either one.I do NOT recommend this rental……."

"Having never stayed at a Super 8 before, I was pleasantly surprised. Kind helpful staff, clean room and a up to date guide for TV channels. ( no need to channel surf). Breakfast choices wasn't the best. Over all, location was close to everything the town had to offer. 4.5 out of 5."

"Cannot believe it is a motel. Better than many star hotels. Very spacious room, clean with Fridge, Microwave and coffee maker. Front desk staff was super friendly, and very helpful. Over all an excellent place"

"We absolutely enjoyed the river setting and cabin ambiance. It’s private, quiet, and surrounded with bird song. The owner helps to flip your thinking from a hotel setting to your own home by having the guest responsible for light cleaning for the next guest. He’s able to reduce the fees and increase the value to the consumer by this method. Doing so is well worth it for the opportunity to stay here. We are grateful the owners are willing to share this cabin with us. We certainly plan to return in the future."

"Had a great stay for a week at this hotel. Definitely a step up from the hotel behind it, and the location on Cook Road is nicely surrounded by various food and shopping options. The two double bed room was very spacious and the bathroom was nice, however I felt the bathroom did not have sufficient ventilation and the use of a sliding barn door on the bathroom was a bit lacking in the privacy department. The microwave being located outside of the room is a bit inconvenient, but it ended up being very close to my room. The refrigerator did not seem to get particularly cold. Staff were excellent, very helpful and kind. The pool area was clean and served as a great area to host my friends. Additionally, the rooms with balconies that come out to that area are a neat concept. The smoking gazebo is nice as a smoker, but I would appreciate a couple more being added as groups of people were occupying it at times throughout the day as a hang out spot (valid as it’s a nice spot to be.) Also some guy dropped an onion slice in there and left it (not valid.) The only major negative experience I had was when the water went out unexpectedly for a full day, That was very inconvenient as I was not able to shower, use the toilet or brush my teeth for a full day. I’m willing to consider it a fluke, but I was disappointed that it took so long to resolve. I will still happily stay at this hotel again in the future."
